Great review! I've got a question: how loud is this headset when compared to others? I'm asking because I had a bad experience with one particular headset (Logi G35) when they switched to Logitech Gaming Software, the sound got normalised and the headset's max volume got reduced by around 25%.

This is not the headphones' fault, the echo is being caused by your microphone either being too close to your headset, or it could also be a glitch. HyperX can not upload a new update because this is hardware, not software.
get the alpha if you only play on ps4 since the 7.1 surround sound and some of the other added features don't work on console. I hope "Baeyab _" didn't convince you into buying the alpha s for console.
Does this update still suffer from audio leaks like it's predecessor? A common complaint if the original Alpha was the mic picking up game audio through the holes on the tops of the earcups, the Alphas were classed as Semi-Open-Back. Any comment on that? It's for that reason I'm still using the fully closed back Cloud II. Also, any comment on the volume? The Cloud II was rated at 60db with the USB amp. Which was just right, I bought the updated amp and tested it which came in on average at 52-53db at max volume which for me wasn't enough. I'm using this on a PS4 for reference.

For footstep wise it's a way to go, I have a corsair void pro and upgraded to the alpha s and its a huge difference when play Escape from Tarkov fps games so yeah. Worth it!

Heng Sylux I got both because I tested them and I don’t use any of those with the USB Dongle because they don’t sound that good with that and they are not really going that loud. The 7.1 surround sound sounds so shit on both of these, especially the alpha S. I prefer the G pro X over the alpha s.
I'm Blown Away that's so many people have no idea what 7.1 or 5.1 surround sound means. It is an impossibility to have either in a headset yet they still use it as a selling point. The first number 5 or 7 refers to the amount of satellite speakers. The point one refers to the subwoofer so in a 5.1 surround system there are five satellite speakers and one subwoofer. So unless they're cutting speakers in half or just putting extra speakers in one side of the headset rather than the other no headset on Earth has a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound.
When are you going to get an audio test for your headphones and wireless earbuds ? Not just a mike test, like putting a good microphone in the headset or wireless earbuds to get the audio. Because I would like to know what they sound like and not just a description of it.
there are so many things that are going to influence what you're hearing, to the point it's completely pointless. The mic can't capture the sound exactly how your ears would, no matter how good the mic is, and then there's the recording itself, then your own headphones will influence that as well, not to mention the editing process and youtube's compression... it's not how it works.

No, surround sound only works on pc and is not compatible with ps4 or Xbox consoles. You can still use the headset on ps4 but the output won’t give any surround sound!
Fortnite God no it doesn’t they made an update where if you go on a pc you can update the headset making it be able to use the sound manager/7.1 audio. if you do this tho it won’t work on pc no more and idk if you can revert it back

the bass sliders adjust bass on the headset, not like the crushers lol.. this is a gaming headset, the crushers are not.

These hurt my ears after a couple hours. My old Sennheisers and Astros didn't. They're just a bit too small and sit on my ears rather than over.

It will sound low I'd suggest getting hyper x amp if your on a budget or the game dac from steel series. Astro mixamp is also a good option

I don’t think connecting the headset into the tv will let your mic work with the game, you’d have to connect it directly into your phone I believe
