10 years on, and you've made Sonic.EXE's most iconic song even better than before, and in time for a fresh remaster of the original game. It's great to see that you came back to compose for the game once more. ^^
Thank you. I never retired, lol, take a look at my channel! Unless you mean in regards to EXE content, in which case yes, I had distanced myself from it. I'm happy to be making EXE content again though, I didn't imagine I'd enjoy it as much as I did this time. ^^
One thing that I always loved with the original is how the first and last stage were the same. When first hearing at Tail's stage it is obvious it is a reversed song but it sounds sooo... chaotic, so omnious that it exhibits fear and the feeling of being stalked by the unknown, that a monster is lurking the environments. When this plays at Robotnik's stage, the song is played normally and just sounds dreadful, depressing, sad.... By that time, you already know what's going to happen and you can just walk forward expecting for the worst to happen and that songs fits that clearly. Reversed it fits the feeling of fear and unknown but when played normally, it's giving the feeling of powerlesness and fright. This is why I actually like this song and how it's used. It's just so fitting in how they're used both time and the only thing that changed is one being reversed and the other not
This track has been unimaginably close to my heart for almost decade now. This is the song I grew up with. I always loved this creepypasta, and this music was just its "main theme" to me. This track is important to me, and got me through many, many tough moments in my life. It ironically helped me feel calm, serene, grounded, and above all else it reminded me of something that brought me happiness. Seeing the official remake have your name in the credits is an unimaginable level of surreal, and the fact that out of all the tracks, this one stayed perfectly intact, just as it originally was, fills me with joy. Thank you for this iconic theme.
The melody, the memories... These "bells" that says "your fate is inevitable" The aura of mystery and darkness that this song gives you cannot be described. Makes me feel pathetic, no matter how strong I am. Against something we could not understand make us all weak. And God, i was a child in middle school when I was scared about this game and the creepypasta. God i love your work ❤
Dude, I honestly didn't think you'd reprise your role as a composer on the official remake, and when a friend of mine tweeted that you in-fact did, I was so happy!!! The original track alone is simply iconic, and getting to hear it remade along with a slew of new tracks just makes the remake feel that much better!
It is so cool you got to reprise your role as the composer for this game once again I truly loved this track when it originally came out, I was really fascinated that a whole different song came out of it by reversing the track. This song can be both somber and ominous while also being scary and dreadful. I've also especially loved all the remixes that came from this track. Thank you for remastering this 🙏🙏

That "bit crushing" you hear is actually a subtle distortion (popularly referred to as "ladder distortion") that the Sega Genesis Model 1 had due to a minor quirk in the way it was assembled with the YM2612 sound chip. Although it was incidental, many music and sound composers on the Sega Genesis took advantage of it.
I personally like it because it brings out some tones and harmonics more and (albeit at the expense of losing some volume dynamic at the lower end) it also makes for longer note sustain and release times.
In the Model 2 with the YM3438 (a clearer and slightly louder variant of the YM2612), this distortion is subtler and the general sound is slightly crispier.

this little rhyme holds no full lie:
In the notepad, fates are written
'Cause Pandora didn't listen.
Time will march, and here with me,
This song's the last you'll ever hear!
Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-haa! Ha-ha-ha..."
would be even cooler if philiplol was invited for the voice work)
GAME OVER
Very good🌈👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
There is a guy who abused copyright claim , recorded your soundtracks and claimed it as his own. His name is "The Exetior"
I got some lyrics if me and two of my friends were in this:
...
No way of escaping this creature we know that
We
Won't
Survive...
My friend Missy tried running but got torn limb from limb brutally
Then my buddy Mega tried fighting his way out but he failed and got crushed badly
Now it's my turn now he could be anywhere he likes playing with victims before killing them
He is coming
Getting closer
Waiting to strike
Any moment now
I don't know what will happen to me but I know it's bad
Hey I'm over here come get me I don't have a future I can't escape so come get me just get it over with now...
Is this an official Remaster of your track, or is it just the original audio from 10 years ago?
Hi, this and HILL are remakes/remasters! All of these tracks, both the new and the classic ones, were made this year. 😸
@@mihaelkYeah ah alright
Also, do you use Fl Studio, or some other daw
@@DiamondThing For this I used DefleMask for Windows. The .DMF files are for editing in that program.
