SuperPaltos23 U I was so upset when he died. When i got to the next mission, I say greyfield and said "YOUR FUCKING DEAD!!!" Then Will stepped in (Which is ironically my name. lol) And I kicked his ass!
Brenner's theme is honestly one of my favs. It's just so inspiring, especially the beginning of the song which feels like it hits like a truck when it loops back to it.
@@robertharris6092 better than none, they could very well bundle Dual Strike and Days of Ruin in a remake bundle next. I will gladly support the remake of the first two to get those two. Just glad the series is back from the dead.
One of the best dialogues in the tactics room: Brenner: Wait, Lin made me a note. Don´t push too far. Let the Waltz come to you. Wait for the Pak. (the anti-tank-cannon, i know only the german name) Will: You read only from the note. Brenner: Minor details.
I liked the North American version better: After reading Will all the notes Lin left him, Brenner finds one more... Note: "Don't just read all of these to Will, make it seem like you came up with them." Brenner: "Damn..."
@@thepainkiller4939 yeah, that was honestly one of the best dialogues in the game, although I do find the hilarity of penny telling you how to beat her even more hilarious for some reason.
I think the main guys being red is a reference to Orange Star being the protagonists of AW1, and Sigismundo's forces being yellow is a callback to Super Famicom Wars, where Yellow Comet was run by Hetler.
Sin temor a decir que para mí, es el mejor juego de estrategia que haya jugado. Recuerdo que jugaba desde que amanecía hasta la madrugada, este juego debería tener un remastered.
Hope never dies......that we'll get another Wars game some day that will be as fun to play as DoR or AW1... ...and without OP tag powers, unbalanced COs that print money, are almost invulnerable or oneshot everything, unnecessary levelling, and without Caulder - please, without Caulder *cries*...
Honestly, I think tag duels were a really good idea in theory. In practice though, the problem with Dual Strikes were the extra turn. If you just have it so both powers and buffs are active in 1 turn you can still have the awesome CO combos but without the bullshit of double movement.
days of ruin is superior to the others by giving to the games a realistic pov, both in story and tactics... in previous games, anime fiction went to overboard (you could use meteors at your disposal if you were sturm, or two super co powers could wipe from the planet all enemy troops if used right). balancing a really good, yet unbalanced game is exactly what was needed. Annd awesome them, loved brenner, badass moder******
That's honestly what I liked the most about the first three Advance Wars games. They were silly and quirky about one of the most fucked up things in the world. Days of Ruin lost a lot of the weird charm of the first three games but gained a mature, interesting story, which is cool.
anti tank is op but slow... but it's really powerful. I think it hits helicopterss only (in regards of air units). Air must hace ground counters anyways and missiles are easy to negate as counters so you have only massing aa
you're just saying you don't like it when someone change the game's mechanics, but hey, anti-air should do squat against tanks, thats pretty logical, also almost anything should obliterate choppers, choppers are fine as they are right now. Anti tank should't fire against air, in my opinion, and the worst part of the game itself is the lack of a big roster of playable characters. I also agree on that
choppers are anti infantry and anti tanks but only really useful when you're attacking. Use them to exploit your enemies tactical flaws , but remember also they're cheap, and are choppers after all, in real life they're not meant to take damage but to do damage, Choppers are quite frail. In general terms, use them to attack units that can counter you only with secondary weapons, or none at all, dont use them as the frontline assault units of course... yet again, your tactics should always involve the principle of "doing the most damage at the lesser cost" (logistics + tactical advantage)
For example, you may know Stolos. In America, he's Caulder. Ed is Will, and various other CO's had their named changed depending on your nationality (American or European)
Well, I'd say more the gameplay. The game was a bit flashy and I miss some of the older mechanics that made dual strike such an awesome game. I don't know, I really don't have much of an argument to base my opinion since I only played duel strike, but I found the game to be too wound up in it's functions and capabilities, I feel. I mean, iunno. It's been a long time since I've played this game, I should probably give it a go again before I have a concrete personal feeling to this game.
Where there is life, there is hope.
And hope never dies.
Nathan Mojica But Brenner does.
Urban Berndtsson And yet he still lives on in our hearts. At least for me. ...Good enough.

so if there's no life there's no hope? so I guess hope does die?
The saddest part about Brenner's death is that you don't get to hear his music anymore :(
and the only "Sun" he got to see was a pure nuclear hell.
On the other hand, you get Will's.

The beginning always sounds so much better once the song loops back to it
new AW game coming out! hope really never dies!
Its just the first 2 games remade.

Fuuggg you have spoilered this :
That drop that you can hear first around 1:57 is simply amazing!
It always bothered me that Brenner and Lin wear Yellow, but the 12th Battalion is always red. And the NRA guys wear Red, but their units are yellow.
ihappy1 they wear brown.

Well... this aged like fine wine
Brenner O'Brian is a pretty good full name. :)
Hope never dies...but he did.
sniff sniff
But it lived on in those he believed in.
Yes hope lives even if he dies!
Certanly in *day of ruin* on middle of a *Dark conflict*

En español le llamamos O'Brienn.
Su nombre español es muy bueno.

Early campaign main theme
Braun Obrian Brenner
Is it his real name?
aye.
Lucina: "Hope will never die!"
*music plays*
Damn, Jake has grown over the years. And he changed his Name huh
Andy* he literally repairs his units. Hes totally andy after hes gotten more experience and grown up.
Is it just me, or does the intro of this sound very suspiciously like Filter's "Welcome To The Fold"?
Why do i hear advance wars dual strike jake theme a little bit
I am entirely sure that some themes are supposed to be counterparts from existing AW1-BHR-DS ones or it's just that it's from the same composer.
oY BRuH LooK o'eR THeRe, iS o'BRiaN, MaTe
Given the game's story, I like the NA name better. With just the character, the EU name is better.
They are totally Jake and Sonja just older...
Brenner is totally andy just older and more experienced. Specialises in healing his units and defense and always has a positive outlook on things.
@@robertharris6092 But if you listen closely, Brenner and Jake's themes are VERY similar.
First off, awesome song
second isn't the game called Dark Conflict , because that's what it says on my game
Dark Conflict is the European name, as with the CO names they were changed compared to America.
For example, you may know Stolos. In America, he's Caulder. Ed is Will, and various other CO's had their named changed depending on your nationality (American or European)

The map making freedom could be enough for you to get it
YOU CAN FIT A WHOLE FEW HOURS OF SINGLE PLAYER CHALLENGES WITH THE FIFTY SLOTS
Ever think Brenner actually IS Andy, the later years?
+Eboreg2 A popular theory i've heard is that Brenner is either Andy or Jake. Jake fits the physique more i guess.
thats what i always thought. he got more proficient at repairing vehicles. and well. eveything else... and matured.
I think Brenner is too serious of a character for that.
I also think Brenner actually knows what an airport is.
Luke Herzen people change when there (what like 15 years?) Older.
Balanced games aren't always a fun thing to play. But at least the music is good here
it sound like a remix of jake's theme.
Jake brenner
The beginning, yes, but the rest is unique enough to be Brenner
i cried when brenner died....im such a pussy lol
Nothing wrong with crying at the sight of a true man's death.
