I'd only consider watching a new Blade if Snipes was playing the lead again. Snipes is Blade! Without him playing the lead, it'll just be another thoughtless remake.
A lot of people feel the same way but let's not count out Mahershala Ali out just yet. He's a fantastic actor and the reason this movie is getting made afterall.
@BPFun I've no doubt about the actors' ability to play the role. it's just that to me, you have the original cast still around, Snipes was iconic in this role and the only reason I can see that they wouldn't want him, is to save money or to move the franchise in a new direction. Snipes being excluded just takes away the reason to watch it for me.
Ali should have been the recast black panther. Bring back Snipes
Don't think Marvel or Disney would bring him back considering how old he is now and his background. But Ali has the Black Panther would be VERY interesting
Blade is half human. That takes care of the argument of an old Snipes
Snipes saved marvel once before. He can do it again.
Ali in Luke Cage was amazing. As soon as his character was gone, the show tanked.
