I find it funny being new to the hobby, someone sold me their Guilliman for cheap. Then GW reduced his points cost, so I was able to fit him into my 1500 point army (I still need to get a redemptor dread and tech marine to get to 2k). He's been an absolute beast in the matches that I've played. I can't wait to get a full 2k army.
It's a mild addiction for me, I keep saying one more purchase.... My current "one more" is a pair of dreads for my only army. My friends and I started a little over a year ago but it ads up fast, I've 4.5-5k in one army but two of my other friends have much more plus started second and third for one armies...knights are popular in my group it seems. It's fun and addicting aquiring, assembling, and painting if you're not in a rush to get them on the table.
@skriznacrunthunner2178 Oh, trust me, I have plans for next year. I really enjoyed the lore of the Ultramarines, which is why I chose to build them first. I do plan to continue to expand beyond 2k so I can play in different ways. Next year, I'm planning to build some of my other favorite armies. Next is going to be Sisters of Battle. Then, even though it's technically another Space Marine Army, I'm going to build Dark Angels. Plus, being two Space Marine factions. I may not be able to take leaders from both, but I can use my squads of like intercessors and Aggressors even if they're painted differently. Once I have my favorite Imperium armies built, there's always more. I may build Necrons with Trayzn but that probably won't be until 11th edition lol.
It just bugs me that The Emperor’s Sword doesn’t have anti-daemon. Also that his gauntlet is somehow stronger than The Emperor’s Sword. Like I get that you can do big sweeps of flame to clear out large waves of enemies so it’s the Sweep profile and the single fist is the Strike profile, but it doesn’t sit right with me that his fist is stronger than Big E’s sword.
I fundamentally agree with you, but it is explicitly stated in the lore that there are secrets and powers to the sword that only the Emperor knows how to unlock. It does make sense that a supremely deadly weapon against anything chaos-related would require an equally supremely capable psyker to use, which Guilliman sadly isn't. It would be super cool if the sword had a mechanic that you could sacrifice a psyker from your army to feed it for one phase and unlock its true potential or something.
@@BlauRFasanThe blade being anathame to everything demon is still a thing the sword has, example being in the plague wars novels Guilliman perma killed one of Kugaths exalted plaugebearers and he was mourning about how it was the ‘Permanent death’ so that’s not one of them, thereby making the fact it isn’t Anti-demon or something similar to it is a bit perplexing.

Same thing with the Lion He has his shield It still has the 3+ invulnerability save It used to have a -1 wound rolls But now it doesn't and now he feels way too squishy to mass amounts of attacks with only 10 wounds at toughness 9 I literally had him die to 10 Ork heavy stubber shots Ork Heavy stubbbers which shouldn't have any business doing that but they did
Guilliman has some good value in firestorm. He can use his strat ability on a land raider redeemer to reduce the cost of the devastating wounds on flamers strat In ironstorm you can use mercy is weakness on melee so giving himself sustained hits is pretty good with thr sweep profile.
Is it weird the Gravis Captain is apparently the only person alongside Eightbound who knows how to actually Dual Wield? Also give Hand of Dominion Pistol because I'm pretty if he can punch me into mist he can shoot me with the gun.

It's maybe just me, but Guilliman's datasheet should cost 600 points and make everyone go "okay what do I drop to include him" like thats how good his rules should be.
emperors sword needs to be 6 damage, its the emperors sword, should be better then fealty just by the very nature of bieng the best wepon in the imperium it has the damage of a power sword right now had better damage last ed.
Had an adventure with my pc and your vid helped. Notice Irregular crashing(1 per week) and for whatever reason this video caused the crash 100% of the time on Firefox. Found out my RAM had been knocked loose due to assumed human error and gravity. Thanks for the assistance in troubleshooting.
I'll be real with you. Lowering something's points cost does nothing positive for me. It doesn't make me see units as stronger, even though they literally are stronger because they're more bang for their buck. Instead, the way I see it is that you're basically just told to buy more shit if you want to keep your army at 2k points.
Yeah Riptides being under 200 points is a fucking declaration of war. Like, how the fuck is a 5 man terminator squad more impressive than a four storey building sized combat mech?
Peak GW rules writing: guilliman better in melee than Lion'El jonson. You know tha primarch who 1v1'd buffed up demon primarch angron and bashed his head in? Turns out Guilliman was the dueslist primarch all along.
Well the Lion fights first and has a 3+ invlun so. he kills guiliman and Guiliman gets up on a 2+ then dies again. he has a higher strength but he's not as good in combat.
@roblilley76 normally yes but specifically for Gillyman, the second half after you have destroyed first oath target the second one is full rerolls, unless they've FAQ'd it
Oh boy i can't wait for the video of a new combo where guilliman oneshots guilliman
I see the Spider-Man finger pointing meme and raise you the Guilliman finger pointing meme

But how many Guillimans can he kill?
Technically, just 1.
Is it weird the Gravis Captain is apparently the only person alongside Eightbound who knows how to actually Dual Wield? Also give Hand of Dominion Pistol because I'm pretty if he can punch me into mist he can shoot me with the gun.
He's a monster, he can shoot in melee, although at -1.
Ultrmarines do be scary
The golden boys of 40k finally get a W, they’ve been so neglected as of late.
So what allows Guilliman to walk through ruins like infantry?
Ironstorm deathball- Gman, Techmarine, brutalis, 2x Redemptor. Double up ancient fury every turn.
gulliman est tres interessant avec sont ordre pour un stratageme gratuit sa puissance brute fait de lui un tres bon QG est peut servir appat pour obliger l ennemi a se decouvrir

I wish the big characters and monsters were more points and actually worth it.
My ironstorm Walker list:
Guilliman/Lion El'Johnson
Techmarine+Target augerieweb
Techmarine+master of the Maschine war
Scouts
2 Ballistus
2 Redemptor
1 Brutalis
Carnes Rex

Bobby G doesn't mess around.
Why does Guilliman's Hand of Dominion have a pilot light in front of the barrel?
Guilliman is as scary as the Ghoulyman now!
I wish mortarion actually had some good melee like this
Given Morty is significantly harder to kill, that would feel unbalanced
Sounds like he become prime target of Alpha strike if he didn't deployed properly
*adds infiltrators with omni-scrambler to list*
He can move through alls, if you deploying him in the open I assume you're still mad about Imperium Secundus.
Always has been.
Where can I find the update that allows him to move through ruins as if he was infantry/beasts?
points help but honestly hes the same hero, he needs a damage buff, like d6 on his sword its the best wepon in the game or should be.
Bought guilliman like 2 weeks ago
It's maybe just me, but Guilliman's datasheet should cost 600 points and make everyone go "okay what do I drop to include him"
like thats how good his rules should be.
Can be dropped by a thunder coil harpoon.
If this is bait so my Gman can die from some 90pt Ork captain imma' cry
Q__Q
So Guilliman is not a unit of measure of being OTK anymore
How many Guillimans does Guilliman kill?
Wow uploaded 30 seconds ago 😮
Now guilliman one shots you... the player

Kinda ironic that he’s running around with a flaming sword but is useless in firestorm
