I think the reason it was relatively quick was because it was already set on a cycle (can tell from it starting on it's own right away when you turned the power on), so I guess it was set on quick 65 which finishes under an hour (the one at the bottom). If you do an intensive 70 cycle now, it should take much longer :)
What can be lost by keeping it as a parts washer till it fails,if ever. Slimline takes minimum space, a countertop dw might be too small, are rare, & have the same footprint ? I wonder could a valve & filter system be set up to recycle that hot water back through the machine as to minimise cost per use ? Being parts, the hot water doesn't have to be potable before the rinse ?
Space Tommy. Space. The one thing that I have too little of. This dishwasher went the way of many other street finds of late in my recent big clear out. It is just a reflection on the society in which we live. I like the hot water recycling idea. I have to say though that one of my odd pleasures is a warm bowl of hot bubbly water and a set of bottle brushes to get some parts clean. Whether it’s a Henry or some other treasure. Cleaning is the simplest first step to a repair!
