I use sponge filters in every aquarium I have, from 750 litre to 80 litre everywhere. They're quite cheap, not only that one pump can be used on multiple sponges . I check water quality every week and till now water quality has been as per generally recommended. They're go very well with plants too. I'm quite satisfied with sponge filters and have no desire to change into other type of filter . In india most of those brands not available, but the info I got is enough. And you said you've personally used some of them so yeah I can agree with you .
