Michigan is not mid-west. It is actually Eastern Standard Time Zone. I am 4 hours away and missed it. The racing sucked, but I am sure the atmosphere was fantastic, even walking around in the clay mud, (which is what the track used to be like).
The MXoN is indeed quite something, its on my wishlist for sure. Seeing your nation win is great, lose no problem. But the atmosphere, culture of the fans from other countries, basically watching the top riders of each nation riding their asses off. Its always a special weekend 👍 It was indeed a bummer that Netherlands lost the 2018 cup because our third rider got injured. But knowing we rode our arses out, won the 2 motos, and the entertainment of the whole event in general.. a loss shouldn’t hurt bad 👌
I am 4 hours North near Manistee Michigan, and i did not go either. But I went to Maryland in 2007 to see RC race his last race, (winning his class) and Ryan PotoMoto get both holeshots on his 250 and dominate both races. Tim Ferry had excellent rides also, coming from behind in both motos with RC like comeback rides to finished 3rd I think. Seeing the FIM today, it will be hosted in every 3rd world country with no spectators or bike sales before it comes back to the USA.

There's is no doubt in my mind that prado is going to win an mx1 championship one day. Lot of people slating the American fans and riders for being overconfident, France has won 5 years in a row so they obviously know Europe has top class riders but they still come every year confident they'll kick ass doesn't mean they think everyone else is shit just means they turn up in the right frame of mind. You also can't deny that if fans around the rest of the world supported mxgp the way the yanks support their sx series there'd be more money more incentive and better training facilities for pro riders and amatures alike in Europe.

Early SX was credited to help the Americans domination starting in 1981. But today's SX tracks are cookie cutter that I could build on a Microsoft Motocross Madness 2 vid game from 2000. I hate today's SX. It is the most boring of all Motorcycle racing IMO.

Early SX was credited to help the Americans domination starting in 1981. But today's SX tracks are cookie cutter that I could build on a Microsoft Motocross Madness 2 vid game from 2000. I hate today's SX. It is the most boring of all Motorcycle racing IMO.
Team USA will never win another MXofN. With the tracks the FIM is forcing private national track owners to build, (all the same kind of dirt, and it ruined Red Bud), and SX tracks that do not separate the talent, the FIM is making sure team USA never wins another MXofN.

The reason why the USA was the best nation in the world, was because it was based on the philosophies of individual liberty, (free from state and religious control), and the free market belonged to the citizens, so we can chase our dreams, make money, be civil to each other,---little things like that. When you understand "it is human to think", you will understand you have to be free to think and achieve. That is why the USA was the greatest nation, and will always be the GOAT even if just in memory. It was based on man's nature,---to be free to think and achieve. The only reason why those principles do not exist today, is because we forgot them over the generations,---in our state run schools and universities. That is a tough hill to climb, if you want any liberty in the future.
