    Hi! I had to watch the first part of this video again. I've been using this pattern to make myself watchbands. I have a large Seiko automatic (self-winding) watch. I strip the 550 paracord so the flattened strands will fit under the pins of the watch. I make 2 to 3 bands a year, changing the colors for the season. I like this style because it lays flatter than the king cobra style. Thanks for providing me with my paracord and clasps, as well as your great instructional videos.. I don't order as often as I did formerly, but I still think your products are the best!

    I always pull my center 2 down to the bottom of the bracelets that way it doesn't reveal the 2 center melted cords.

    Going to have to sub, this is great. For whatever reason the way you explain things and the speed at which you show everything really resonated with me and I was able to crank out my first belt! Really appreciate your time making this content. Im off to see what else you have up and to set that bell reminder. Thanks again!

    Like this one. I made one a little while ago. I finally found a use for my 3/4" whistle buckle. Since the buckle is not contoured, I was having problems with sizing the bracelets correctly, and the shape would always seem strange (like a D shape rather than the normal O shape of the bracelet).
    I only used two colors on mine, so that I didn't need to fuse colors and so I had longer strands of paracord. I just did a double cow hitch to basically have a single cow hitch made up of two colors, then carried on the same way you did.

    Gotta be my favorite person to watch do these, just wish you could show a way to do them without the buckles or possibly burns. Thinking in terms of if you need to actually use the cord(s) but want to put it back together afterwards.

    I would have run black through center bottom then snipped and singed. would have kept pattern and no melted ends to show. nice bracelet either way. I'm going to use as a single point strap for my ar. green black brown.

    What's the approximate cord stock to finished product ratio? Example: does 24ft of cord get a 7in bracelet. I'm looking to do a rifle sling (around 30in of sling in paracord).

      Edward Starsmith I made a bracelet at 8" (including buckle) using 5 feet of each color (total of 20 feet with extra couple inches just to be safe) and I had just over 2 feet left over.

    • @Howardhandupme
      @Howardhandupme 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      u better use 30 feet. I just made strap for my ar and I almost ran out at 28 feet.

    • @guitarman_3693
      @guitarman_3693 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i made a single point weapon strap. as a general rule; ADD 2 EXTRA FEET. cobra knot ratio is (1in. = 1ft.) so a 30 in. cobra weave requires 30ft. plus the 2ft. extra to be safe ... This is a double ( side by side ) cobra weave so to do his style weave as a rifle sling ( 30 in. long ). 30ft. for the LH cobra weave & 30ft. for the RH weave and 2ft extra for the RH also 2ft extra for the LH... summary - 64 feet TOTAL .

    I like this video. Bracelet looks really good. I am going to make one of these for my dog, for a dog collar. have you ever added a metal loop, or what would the process be on adding something like that? My dogs neck is around 20", so that would be about 21 feet of paracord?

    • @LoSTRaMaiR
      @LoSTRaMaiR 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would guess that you just keep tying the knots until you reach the middle (or wherever you want the loop), and then for one or two passes (whatever will fit) run the middle strands through the loop. Then just carry on like normal.

    • @osumailguy
      @osumailguy 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      He recommends 1in=1foot, but I believe that is when he has found the center point and each strand is half the distance. Considering that, for this design, I would figure you would use half as much for each.

    How would you do one single strand for a belt? Meaning no fusing of two different colors. I'm making some belts for myself, one with buckles, and the other that is a metal "novelty style"standard belt buckle. I'm making some for some for my fellow security guards, any tips or videos to suggest would be helpful.

    • @guitarman_3693
      @guitarman_3693 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1 inch requires 1 foot of cord, plus an extra foot or two to be safe... the tightness or looseness of the weave uses more and less paracord , you will understand as soon as you get 10 to 20 cobra knots done and have to push/cinch them up
