That’s the type of music that plays in my head when I watch WEC/Le Mans footage from 1990’s or 2000’s. I also remember a very similar beat from the game called GTR, which also makes sense since it has endurance races in Le Mans and Spa, for example. Thanks for bringing up memories of being a fanboy of Pescarolo, I miss old Proto/GT era.
So that must be why this mix gives me Eurosport vibes. Endurance racing was usually on Eurosport back in the days before live streaming was a thing. The channel often played music like this if I remember correctly. Another piece of music that reminds me of Eurosport both musically and aesthetically is Kraftwerk's 2003 remake of their classic "Tour de France". The music video aesthetic especially just screams 2000s Eurosport with its blue, white and red design.

I remember seeing footage of Audi R8’s put together with that song, though I couldn’t find the vid anywhere nowadays, and that looked and sounded absolutely brilliant.
That's basically a softer version of techno and trance used in Wangan Midnight, just in case if you ever imagined and forgot. I'm currently exposing myself to Citypop and Future Funk as well hehe.
It's not about the music being in the games, it's about recording a DJ set as if your best mates were in the room with you back in '98 trying to run through the career mode as fast as they could
