PETG .. scratches way too easy. So especially if you're going to buy pre-bent tubes then I would suggest Acrylic. BTW .. black flexible tubing is a trending fad for a while. Talk about easy! I've defaulted on the less is more, I don't want my PC looking like a strip joint in Vegas nor Unicorn puke.
i only go with 14........ 12 is too small and 16 is too large... for PETG inner diameter does matter somehow, when you live in a hot country.....your petg might collape easier with 12mm because the inner is smaller...which make petg failed easier(leak) just start the pc for 10min my water temp go up to 37 alone and when gaming 43 (D5 pump x3 360 blackice360gts +ekpe360 radiator +120 ek pe120)
@@kanesobservation just not wise to use smaller od when your country is very hot.I live in thailand and the temp here is around 36 37 for daily ......so if anyone live in hot country try 14 or 16mm and change petg to arcylic tube or copper brass or stainless steel. better pay a bit more or regret later.
LOL Case sizes .. I'm of the day of CaseLabs whose cases were like little mini homes. The fad of the moment is smaller and smaller shoe box builds. Fittings and tubings are also like little fads that come, go, change and evolve. You want something that's a pain then try glass tubing. Also, as far as the leaks are concerned, I would strongly advise an air pressure pump with gauge tester. Personally for a heat gun try something with temperature controlled like Milwaukee 8988-20 or my favorite the Bosch GHG 23-66.
I know this is old, but if you're still involving in water cooling, I wanted to ask if you also see that 14mm seems to becoming the standard, btw I've never seen 10mm. (and you're video was first on my search list involving me search on Google)
okay you answered me in your video, you also seen back when you made this a swing to everything going only 14mm, or just harder, or cost more for everything else, 14mm makes sence, it is the inside of all of the fittings, making the tube bigger or thinner than 14mm makes no sense other than a look you might be going after, hell I always liked 16mm to fill out more of a big case, and 10mm would look amazing in a itx sff build.
Hi just come across your channel great vids. I will be following closely as I am doing a build in the lian li 011xl with the EK reflection distro plate so will be very keen on seeing you rebuild Megatron. I would like to run push pull on the bottom 360 rad but I'm unsure of clearances with the distro pump. Keep up the good work.
@@kanesobservation was keen on using a 60mm Ek 360 but i dont think it will clear the pump in push pull config. I have a 45mm on its way so will do some measurements with that. Also not sure if the bottom pump exit hole will be to low also.
I was just curious about some of your videos. These are just my opinions... I've never liked the look of either fat nor thin tubing, 14 mm is a good in between. Also, I buy directly from EK whenever possible, DHL and my taxes are a wash. In addition, I really don't like the idea of mixing metals or even brass with copper (impurities) .. it's way too easy to ruin blocks and especially stain them. Maybe you know?? .. I don't know what happened to EK's chromed copper rigid tubing, I know it's listed on their site but it's a broken link, so I buy Bykski chromed copper pre-bent. Last year when they were doing an Alder Lake build they told me they were going to start carrying it but I never saw it listed. I will not make up my own fluid (distilled water + biosides), It's a guaranteed disaster. Heck I don't even want to buy EK concentrate and add my own distilled water. Yep, damn straight I'm paranoid. The cost of their 1000ml EK-CryoFuel liquid is a drop in the bucket compared to a $1,500 plus loop.
To add to your question in the beginning, you have to learn about how to target the TH-cam algorithm unfortunately. It goes to as little details such as the title to your video. It is very good to learn how to make a "clickbaity" type of title without it actually being clickbait but rather useful while using keeping it simplistic as well. Another suggestion is to keep up with the newer tech. Looking at just your most recent videos, the "highest views" were once of current trends which included lian li o11 build and EKWB's newer fittings. Just some minor (and probably obvious) suggestions.
I wish you well, KO, especially with KO as a handle. I'll even subscribe. I'm new to water cooling, but not at all new to PCs. I'm interested in using acrylic tubing and in making my own custom bends, and I do want to be able to work with the smaller diameters. I like the challenge and value the outcome. PETG seems blue to me. I want clear. I also want permanent, tailored, specific bends. Ironically, I was hoping to learn from YOU who I might rely on as a supplier, only to find that you too are on the prowl in that regard. Also, since you didn't spell their names or add them to your description, I can't even tell which companies you're talking about. As far as garnering more interest, a couple things, maybe three. Right now, especially harshly backlit the way it is, your set looks like an interrogation room. You need color. Eye appeal. And you need more energy. You're passionate about this subject or, well, you wouldn't be pursuing TH-cam with it. Your aim should be to let that passion show. You did smile and near laugh once in this video, so it's clear you've got that in you. I'm not encouraging you to be artificial or inauthentic. Energy's a big deal though. Pace. Tone of voice. Speed of movement. Absence of dead zones. Et cetera. This was about as ho hum as I think I've ever seen. Christ, you're even wearing gray.
Just my 2 cents but the main reason I think your videos aren't doing as good as expected, is due to the shortages in just about everything when it comes to building a computer. Most people can't get the computer hardware they want right now so they aren't watching videos like this. JayzTwoCents, Bitwit and Paul's Hardware have all commented that their numbers are way down since the start of the Pandemic. I believe Kyle from BitWit even needed to start a 2nd channel that isn't related to hardware to be able to make it viable. And Paul had to switching focus to reporting on news stories that is related to computer hardware. I've even seen two channels that I've followed for years have died completely. The ones that are doing OK are the ones reporting the semi hardware related but also on things like cryptocurreny or do something with software (like installations guides like setting up a media or storage server, Linux content etc). I think your numbers definitely pick up but not until the end of the hardware shortages and the when the crypto craze dies down. But it will be hard to keep motived to keep pouring heart and soul into the channel and not seeing the returns you expect view wise. I am one of the lucky ones that got my dream computer built with the latest hardware at the end of last year. But I have buddies that are still waiting for their RTX 3080 that they ordered at launch last fall. Keep up the great content! Love seeing it.
Why are you giving so bad advice??? If you can’t bend just give up ! I’ve started using hard tubes many years ago when it was begging and I lost like maybe few bends. You follow the rules - you succeed. Sorry but I wasted time here
