All very sensible us old buggers are. Life is too short to hurry as we might be racing to the end. That looks like a very nice peaceful place to just while away the time. You never know you might even catch a few fish while at anchor. Enjoy from Far North NZ.
Yeah but you could argue life is too short to be staying in one spot for weeks on end. Then again not many people have the choice of sitting in one place, for however long, then pull the hook and stay in an equally special place the next drop. It's definitely the life if you can do it
Agree that having time is a huge bonus dude and definitely makes cruising safer. Lots of top spots around, it's getting to them in comfort thats the trick.
Dude, you didn’t fail - you tried and realised it wasn’t the go. As for waiting for the winds, only those with press-on-itis find out too late that they too should have chilled out. By the way, there’s something nice about you cruising solo. The concentration seems to be more on the journey. I dunno, it just feels different. Love ya’ work mate. 👍
Enjoy your time Dude. Look after you and your boat. Dont want to read about you in the news. A solo sailor went aground on the rocks at Hook Island in the Whitsundays just in the last week.
Have to wrack the brain dude. So many great spots. Refuge Cove (the prom) Port Davey.. Davey River Lady Musgrave (anywhere on the reef in good weather) Broken Bay 1770 Lots more I haven't mentioned. Here at Magnetic and GKI to mention just a couple. Just do em all dude.
Didn't fail, it was a tactical retreat. Keep them coming mate.
Yep, guess so dude. Oh well, worse places to be stuck for a while😊
Just saw Archer( red cat) they are another TH-cam family.
Yeah Shane. I tried to catch up but they headed north after only a night or so.
Cheers dude.
@@MotorSailingforOldDudes Bugger, oh well that's how things go.
Sounds like a good plan 😎
Yeah dude.
A good plan is one where you have the option to change it.

That spice blend looks good.
Yeah dude. Full of flavour and a 20min prep time. Love it.
Wish I knew you where in T’ville! I would’ve shouted you a beer or 2
Thanks dude. I'll be at Maggi for a while.
SE Tradewinds are constant and relentless up there! Still loved living in Townsville ❤
And the swell can get ridiculously lumpy around the Palm Islands 😅
Yep Noice spot. Hot in summer but.
Lekker man lekker
Cheers dude. Thanks for watching.

Thanks dude. Yeah I guess doing it alone is different. Would be good to share though. 🙄
@@MotorSailingforOldDudes True. 👍

For sure dude.
Lucky to be in no hurry. Makes it easier getting the weather right.
skipper's call, play it as you see it. No need for heroics. choppy water and a tired body is not worth it. its called cruising for a very good reason
Agreed Thomas.
Great to have the luxury of not having to be anywhere.
Cheers dude
Another fine episode, thanks Norm. What do you regard as your top 5 or 10 places to visit while sailing on the east coast?
Have to wrack the brain dude. So many great spots.
Refuge Cove (the prom)

Lady Musgrave (anywhere on the reef in good weather)
Broken Bay
1770

I see you anchored near Archer ( TH-cam- The Sailing Family - I think 🤔💭) Did you have a chat to them?
Better to have tried and failed, than to never have tried at all! 😎
Those dudes were only there for a short time before heading north. Would have been good to catch up.
Hey dude , do you do much travelling overnight by yourself, done a few myself, not to bad if you prepare and stick to the plan, cheers
Yep travel a lot at night dude. Love it. Nothing like sunrise over the ocean, with you out on it. 😊😊
Yep dude. Love it. Nothing like the sun coming up over the ocean... With you on it😊
