Jacoby's voice is absolute perfection. He keeps getting better and better! This whole song, every word, the music, the message, just brilliant! Please don't ever stop making music! The world needs to hear this song. Thank you guys for helping me stay sane the last 2 years. Would have been way harder without you and your music. 🖤
His voice has improved so much over the years that I can't believe it. That's one fortunate thing about singers - as they get older they usually sing better.
Exactly! Point on! Jacoby is like a fine wine! I love Matt and that whole band! I can remember in the 90s drinking Red Bulls, they open for incubus in 1996 for their first science album! I love seeing Papa Roach open or headline shows at the cattle club in Sacramento! I can remember a time downtown hanging out with Papa Roach, bone back, cleanse,Such good people! Those Vacaville BOYS Helped me grow up Boys are good
@SheldonBailey I'm so very sorry for your loss. May you and your family find peace in this saddest of moments. My heartfelt condolences. Prayers and Peace
I've been a fan since I was a teenager. Now I'm 34 years old. Two decades listening to Papa Roach and I think this is one of the best songs they've ever released. You guys did such a great job. I'm loving this album. I'm proud of being your fan 💜
Right along with, 35 , listening since there first album and they still surprise me, the old stuff is timeless too, I often just go to their spotify and hit shuffle and enjoy.
35 here. We are fortunate to witness their growth, evolution, and experimentation since Infest during our teens. The 2000s was fucking harsh for most of us millenials.
38, and been a fan since Last Resort. I've listened to other bands for just as long, but none of them (in my opinion) have consistently released great music like Papa Roach. They somehow get better and better with every album.
Dry bones rattle in a lonely soul Slipped and fell into a deep black hole I can tell you're lost, I'm here for you Wild fires burning you down to stone Blind eyes, turning from a world so cold A million miles apart, within my reach It's not like me, to worry But when I see you fading in the dark I'll leave a light on for you Through the long nights, I will be right There for you if you drift too far I'll leave a light on for you You You The rain comes following an endless drought To wash away the remnants of all your doubts I hope that you see me looking out It's not like me, to worry But when I see you fading in the dark I'll leave a light on for you Through the long nights, I will be right There for you if you drift too far I'll leave a light on for you Through the long nights, I will be right There for you if you drift too far I'll leave a light on for you You You
Literally just sent this song to my sister and said "can you imagine Chester singing this"? Not to take anything away from Jacoby but we all know Chester would've probably covered it and absolutely destroyed it lyrically!!! 🥹
This song is just magnificent. My 8 year old daughter cried listening to this, regardles she doesn't know English. When i asked her why does she cry she said "I don't know, but this song is So beautiful...". Great work Guys, Great ballad. Great voice❗❗❗
As a person that deals with depression, anxiety, and PTSD, this song cuts me to the core with how authentic and beautiful it is. Thank you Papa Roach for giving such powerful storytelling. These lyrics are gut wrenching, and I can’t stop listening and crying along to the song.
This song hits my heart so much. We all need that person that'll leave a light on for us when we need it most. This song is amazing as is this album. Always something different with every album. Been a fan since the 1st album and I'll never stop listening to you guys.
Damn, not gonna lie, when i first heard this song i cried. It made me so emotional. The best of you guys is that u never bring same sound. Im always shocked how i feel about ur new albums. Would love to see you in Poland Wish you best and keep supporting us with your music
I heard this song for the first time as they sang it live at their concert tonight in The Woodlands. It literally stole the show. I can't begin to explain the presence of this song as the lights went out, the phone lights were raised, and Jacoby started singing. His voice was beyond incredible, the message is beautiful, and the band is beyond talented to be so versatile. Such a powerful moment created through such a beautiful song. Can't wait to listen over and over in my car ride tomorrow.
Jacoby definitely has one of the most versatile voices in the the music industry. Been a fan from the start and it’s songs like this that highlight the man’s sheer talent 👍🏼
Wow never thought I’d hear jacoby do a song like this. This album is really different and it’s working well for them. The sounds on this album are amazing.
This song right here! Deep, full of emotion. This has to be one of their best non heavy songs. This ranks up there with Decompression Period for me. Perfect.
This song makes me think of my fellow soldiers I've lost to suicide or addiction. And the reassurance I give to the ones who are still struggling. Not afraid to admit whenever I hear this, I tear up....badly. Because, I struggle too.
Absolutely love love love this song. Papa Roach gets better and better every year. They’ll be putting out music in their senior years and still rockin the world. Never disappoints. Been there since the beginning. 🎶
WMMR Rocks called this a new song. I wonder why? I just heard it for the first time though. Very good. I remember him from 20 or so years ago. Glad to hear he's still doing music. I think he did last resort if I remember clearly. There was another song I liked to but I can't remember what it was.
I cry whenever i hear this song, because i always left a light on for my ex husband when he would go out and drink and use drugs. Painful memories of my past. Beautiful song though and an amazing voice!
Respectfully, this song is not long enough. So powerful. Putting it on repeat is the only way to listen to this song until every single lyric is ingrained into your brain, then your very soul and existence.
This is beautiful and perfect and it felt like he was singing it to me when I first heard it. I've had a terrible year and this has got me hanging on in there ;
I'm currently struggling with mental illness and this song hurts and also reminds me that I'm not alone. It's a rollercoaster for me to listen to this song. I hope one day I will have a person in my life that will support and love me even if I'm sad, moody and hard to handle at times.
3 months ago my world crashed. First my dad died from cancer. Next I lost my wife to cancer. I wanted to take a gun and end it all. Then by chance this song plays. I listened to it and something inside told me not to pull the trigger. Like you this song also pulled me out of my own darkness
@@mattalan6618 I’m so sorry for your loss and I’m sorry I didn’t see your comment until now! I just wanted to say that you are a very strong person and I’m glad you didn’t end it all! I hope you’re feeling better now. Sending you a virtual hug and take care!
This is such great art. To see it fall behind mediocre music is a shame, but I guess all good things pass with time. Please don't let rock die, pass it to your children.
One of the best Papa Roach songs EVER!!!!!
💯💯💯
It’s cool but not one of their best
Absolutely!! 🖤
It really is. So meaningful
This and between angels and insects

Same. I've been partially obsessed for the last 2 years as well
His voice has improved so much over the years that I can't believe it. That's one fortunate thing about singers - as they get older they usually sing better.
PAPA ROACH 4 👉🏻 LIFE
I agree. Jacoby’s voice is one of a kind, I’ve loved it for more than two decades. This song is amazing

We played this for my brothers candle light vigil. We lost him to suicide on the 6th. Beautiful song.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Suicide is so hard. 💔
I'm so sorry. And I hope you and your family can find a light soon.
Rest in peace.

Dry bones rattle in a lonely soul
Slipped and fell into a deep black hole
I can tell you're lost, I'm here for you
Wild fires burning you down to stone
Blind eyes, turning from a world so cold
A million miles apart, within my reach

Through the long nights, I will be right
There for you if you drift too far
I'll leave a light on for you
You
You
The rain comes following an endless drought
To wash away the remnants of all your doubts
I hope that you see me looking out
It's not like me, to worry
But when I see you fading in the dark
I'll leave a light on for you
Through the long nights, I will be right
There for you if you drift too far
I'll leave a light on for you
Through the long nights, I will be right
There for you if you drift too far
I'll leave a light on for you
You

thanks :)
Dude, you've grown into your voice. This is pretty fucking amazing
Pahahahahahhaah
THIS MAKES ME THINK OF CHESTER BENNINGTON.....💔😭
Literally just sent this song to my sister and said "can you imagine Chester singing this"? Not to take anything away from Jacoby but we all know Chester would've probably covered it and absolutely destroyed it lyrically!!! 🥹
*Destroyed it in a good way
Jacoby actually dedicated this song to Chester

My funeral song. As if I'm looking over a loved one from the other side. Guiding and assisting them through confusing times
This song is just magnificent. My 8 year old daughter cried listening to this, regardles she doesn't know English. When i asked her why does she cry she said "I don't know, but this song is So beautiful...".

Wow
This song reminds me of someone who I really care for and I can't stop crying as I listen to this
I've evolved just like this band, from an angsty teen to an understanding adult. Been listening to P Roach since 2007 and haven't regretted it
Stay there for many more years please!! You're amazing !!
As a person that deals with depression, anxiety, and PTSD, this song cuts me to the core with how authentic and beautiful it is. Thank you Papa Roach for giving such powerful storytelling. These lyrics are gut wrenching, and I can’t stop listening and crying along to the song.

This song omg and to think Jacoby's voice was in jeopardy during the Connection times. Perfection 🔥

Absolutely beautiful ❤️ His vocal in this slightly reminds me of Brent Smith's from Shinedown, anyone else hear it?
First thing I told my wife sounds just like Brent Smith when she heard this and she's an avid Shinedown fan! 🎸 🤘
I said that when I first listened to this song. I told my mom that if they tour together, they need to sing this song together.
@@MelissaxAshley6 couldn't agree more...it's how me and my lovely lady met! When Papa Roach and Shinedown were at a concert together! ❤️ 🎸 🤘
Me and my fiance both thought it was Brent singing
Because Brent Smith is singing with him dumbass
Beautiful song, didn't expect the seriousness👏💜
Between the beauty & empathy in his voice, truly feeling the lyrics through his voice, wow this song hits so hard 🥺
