I was wondering how that mat was going to work out. Intex makes a Fabric Camping mat you can find a Menards and on Amazon for $8 that is 6 in. thick that has cloth on one side but is just like what you had I just picked one up to use in the backyard. After I try it I will let you know if it is any good. Thank you for the video, These have been a great reminder that its more important to get out there and do it, rather than focusing on the gear.

Dude This was the first vid (of the series) I watched. Man U were awfully exposed without proper shelter. That earned a like and subscribe! I assume under normal circumstances u would have a bivy/tarp/tent?!
When I arrived I planned on doing a tarp shelter, but the day was nice and sunny and the night was clear. Decided to not make one. Slept great too. Not cold at all.. very comfortable too. Thanks for watching.. and subbing.
Looks like your hatchet came in handy. A lot quicker than sawing sometimes isn't it? I went looking for my sleeping mat the other day but still CAN'T find it. It's somewhere, in my various stashes of gear, I just don't know which one :o)
