Loving the dry humor in your videos. Will definitely keep these DIY lights in mind once I go bigger with this hobby!

Dude this is sooo good. I use Gorilla Glue and Cable ties for EVERYTHING! You should have a look at those 10W LED Floodlights. Cheap as chips, easy to wire and great for tanks.

Fancy Shrimp I experimented with the flood lights, they are a bit too strong and create a algea problem even on 5 hours. So I switched to these because you also get the 7watt globes. If I see algea in a tank I just change the globe. Thx for advice!

Is there a danger in getting the uncovered LEDs wet? I have hatchetfish that love to jump and I'm afraid they will splash the circuitry. Thanks for the video!

Eric Prouty Yes. Rather use floodlights then. A bit more expensive but waterproof

You should let the water a bit lower, and build a simple plexiglas lid

Hi mate, i have a simple question, can I use simple plant grow COB or LED light over my aquarium to grow aquatic plants? The are cheap and full spectrum and come on diffrent type of wattages like 10, 40 and so on.

Good video, but couldn't you make it a bit slower while working with the wires?
