You are correct in saying Amstrad bought out Sinclair by the time the Spectrum +2 was released (1:08), but that would have been back in April 1986. Two years later, I took ownership of my +2 grey (April 1988). I want to know where to get disks working on my external floppy disk drive. I checked a few places but was told they would not work.
Did you ever get around making a video on how to build the external drive?
720k floppies? :O

Purchased a +3 recently and am interested in a guide/schematic/whatever for external 3.5" floppy mod.
can you replace the 3" internal toaster drive with a 3½"drive too that is double sided without having to fiddle with a switch please?
11 months down the line but yeah, I am interested in this...
I'm interested too! Video on how to build the external drive please!
