Actually..... I found a trick! I published it in my CometAcademy. You *CAN* work with dithered data in combination with CometAlignment...with one very helpful trick!!
Become a member of my site..and learn all about this stuff. Loading OSC images as grayscale is the correct way to proceed. A raw image needs to be debayered properly. .If you force the software to open images and debayer by default- you will not be able to calibrate the data correctly (and confuse yourself).
It is tricky. You might have to click on the comet in each frame. Alternatively.. you can use the star aligned data (from WBPP) and then use CometAlignment...and you will get to take advantage of linear motion...but you will have double interpolating the data. For widefield work... this probably is just fine (and it is what I did).
Sorry.... you need to be a bit more specific. If your stars, for example, are trailed or out of focus...this can be an issue. If you are a member of my site you can post your question to my forum where I answer specifically.

Thanks for this Video, it is very helpfull😁🙏
You should see how helpful Comet Academy is. I am just now releasing the demonstration of how I processed the recent APOD image I published. :)
Dang it. I had dithered my data. 😢 I hope I will be able to make a good image.

Thanks Adam when imaging using mono how is it best to setup a sequence? Would it be RGBRGB etc? Thanks
Given the typically limited time... yeah. You will need to watch Comet Academy to understand how to align (and comet subtract) this data.
I'm using a OSC and when I load my images and open my first light it is in grey scale. Why is that? Thanks

Hi Adam, any information regard pixinsight crashing reasons and solutions
No.... sorry. I do have issues myself... PixInsight uses lots of computer resources...and it seems sometimes things get wonky.
Hi Adam! what if i dithered my comet data, can i still use the comet align tool effectively?

I got so many subs and pixinsight cant even detect stars. Can I still align the comet without the stars somehow?

@@AdamBlock oh yea stars were trailed
Will you be doing a comet tracked as promised this time?
There is a comet tracked example... ?
@AdamBlock hi Adam would it be best to track stars or comet? And how long exposure you reckon?
@@caviestcaveman8691 So many questions... not enough time! CometAcademy
@@AdamBlock no I know lol I'm watching one of your guides atm in comet academy could I ever email you about questions about a tutorial?
@@caviestcaveman8691 Yes, but use the forum on my site.
What files are loaded into the program? Registered?
Yes. Please consider getting Comet Academy for more!
Got above horizon for me but there are hurricane clouds (it is now a tropical storm) so I couldn't see it
It will be visible for weeks so you can still get out and see it
Never gets above the horizon for me :(

Dude, it looks like you're generating random words. What do you mean?
