    Hi there. Congratulations on your passing the exam. I want to know a few things from you ..
    1. Do you have questions where you get the answer immediately just after reading the answer or all the questions are design types where you need to think through the architecture and then answer?
    2. In terms of difficulty levels, how would you compare Udemy Jon bonso practice exams with real exams?
    3. Approximately how many long questions were there whose questions are also long and so are the options .. ?

    • @pete_win
      @pete_win 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Santanu,
      1. Yes, there were a few questions that gave you the instinct right away with what the correct answer was. For example, with the keyword of "auto-scaling," your intuition right away points to Auto Scaling Group. Same for things like "decouple microservices" think Simple Queue Service.
      2. From my perspective, I thought the AWS exam was slightly harder than the exams by Jon Bonso. But only by a small margin. This might be just because of the way a few questions were worded through me off.
      3. Most of the long questions did not have lengthy options. I would say about 20% of the exam questions were lengthy. When it came to some of these lengthy questions it's just about focusing on the keyword that the question is asking. With one of the tips in the video, using the process of elimination based on the keywords from the question will help tremendously.
      Best of luck!

      I took Stephane's and Neal Davis courses. While Stephane has exceptional AWS knowledge, I didn't connect with his accent (no offence intended) and the speed he talks. Even if you slowdown the play speed in Udemy, it sounds really odd. I wholly trust Neal's tutorial and practice exams. I also took Jon Bonso, Stephane and Neal's practice tests and once again found Neal's exam question format close to the real one followed by Jon Bonso's. Stephane's exams are way too overboard and overly worded. For my Pro Architect preparation I decided to stick with Neal Davis' course and exam. Now, after passing my cloud practitioner and associate architect exams, I am more than confident to crack the pro exam using just Neal's material. I may take Jon Bonso's mock exams as well. Anyways, my 2 cents worth.

      Hey Acha,
      Thanks for your comment & congrats on passing your exam! The cloud industry has many different domains. If you want to work primarily in cloud, I would look at cloud engineer roles local to you & look at what skills they are searching for. Try to generalize all the skills which most cloud engineer roles are required to have. For example, if many different cloud roles in your area are looking for AWS & various services in AWS, that would be a good starting point to see what skills are needed. In addition, I would apply for them & see what information you can get out of the interview. Even if you fail, you get the exposure in terms of knowing what kind of questions are asked in these interviews.
      Hope this help & best of luck Acha!

      I've heard some really good things about Neal Davis and his courses through Digital Cloud Training. I would say it really depends on your confidence level with the practice exams your currently taking. If you're getting around 70% in the practice exams, you're ready to pass the real exam. Hey there,
      Yeah, I did follow all of the hands on lab from Stephane's course. In terms of remembering the content effectively, I would try and generalize most of the services in AWS. For example, when you think of data storage, I would correlate this general topic with RDS, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, memoryDB. In addition, once you get to the point where you're taking practice exams, you come to understand the theme of most questions. • @pete_win
      @pete_win 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Purphite,
      Thanks for the comment and apologies on the deferred response. I would say you could do a mix of both and allow me to elbatorate. If you're thinking of focusing on personal projects and you mentioned web development, you could host your web development projects on AWS. If it's a static website consider looking into S3. If you're doing any sort of REST API, you could look into hosting the web application servers on AWS. AWS has many offerings for web development and you could apply those to your personal projects. AWS also has a generous free tier which is more than enough for personal projects. If you find yourself wanting to learn more about Cloud and AWS after your personal projects, I would recommend looking into this certification (Solution Architect Associate) or the Associate Cloud Developer certification too.
      Best of luck!

As far as the exams that I recommend, I personally took John Bonso’s exams and Stephane’s and found them both very useful. Most of the practice exams by both John and Stephane are structured in a way to be slightly harder than the exam from my perspective. That way you have a fundamental understanding of how to solve questions around a particular service rather than trying to remember a question. If you can average around 70% in these practice exams you can expect to have enough knowledge to pass the exam.

    And each term need a whole video or course to understand it
    So my question is s
    What is the prerequisites to learn cloud computing ?
    I'm starting to give up and i feel like it's not for everyone 😥

      Hey Ahmed,
      Chin up bud! The prerequisites to learn cloud computing is based on what certification you are trying to obtain. For example, for the solution architect associate ceritifctaion it is recommended you have been one or more years of hands on experience with AWS. You could also consider going for the Cloud Practioner as your first certification too if the solution architect associate is too overwhelming. In addition, don't feel like you need to become certified. Think of it as a journey to learn a new skill that will make you become more valuable. The certification is just an added bonus of learning all of these new skills of cloud.
      Best of luck!

      @@prathameshgabhane9264 Beyond practice exams, i don't know if there is actual source of exam dumps. I will say that I don't think exam dumps will help with this certification. The reason is because the questions are very distinct. Out of all of my practice exams I took (600 questions or so combined) I don't think there was one question on my actual exam that came from any of my practice questions.
      Best of luck and I hope that helps!

    All these guys that have passed the exams in 1month are either telling lies, or there is something else they are not telling us. It took me six months to study for this examination and pass.

      Hey Issac,
      Each and every single person will have their own study regiment along with how much time they may devote. You cannot quantity how quick someone may or maynot pick up the skills needed to pass the certification. Just because it took you 6 months, does not mean someone can't get this exam done even sooner. Nonetheless, congrats on your pass!
