Man I thought this was from an established channel. I put it on in the background while playing some other game, and when I went to like it at the end and saw it only had two likes I was quite surprised. It's not a super high quality video essay that you'd expect with someone with millions of subs, but it's pretty good. Keep it up and you'll get a decent following, I think.
Very enjoyable. Weirdly, I remember Just Cause as looking a lot better than it does! When I say that, it still looks good, I just remember it being hyper real at the time. Rose tinted spectacles! In any case, will be interested to see whatever you make next.
hey, I like the video. I even like your tonality and pacing, you don't need to change it you can keep your identity! Ideally the mic quality would be a little better but amazing job otherwise. Keep it up!
When you say "God rays" what are you trying to reference? You keep saying it in situations where there are 0 god rays. Are you talking about lens flare?
@@bcarefulwhatuwishfor yea, god rays is just a fancy technical term used in gaming to describe those pillars of light that the sun produces. In this video I was just trying to point out how cool it was to see that kind of 3D rendering technology and lighting effects in a game from 2006 that was most likely developed over the span of 2003-2005.
@@sittingbullproductions I watched the whole video but I have to say, I didn't notice one example of god rays. Typically, you only see them under foliage or with some clouds, but you talked about god rays on the water? Are you sure? Ray traced God rays are over a decade away at this point, before that all god rays were baked into scenes/geometry manually. I don't think they would have put manual god rays into an open world game of this scale. Were there any clips of the rays in the video?
@@daniel.watching tbf I didn't use any good example clips in this video but god rays are definitely in the game lol you can load it up and see for yourself if you want. Now I will admit I did a terrible job of describing/showcasing them in this video lol. What I was trying to convey when I talked about the water though was how the water reflections look great with god rays from the sun over the mountains in the distance but I kinda fumbles and fused those two sentences together lol
@@sittingbullproductions I think there's an example of those types of god rays near the end of the video as you're flying up to a sunset. I see what you mean now. But yeah, as a note, I think it makes a video more engaging if you have examples of things you're describing as you describe them, even if you have to go back and record more footage just to get a good example.
Keep it coming bud, with this quality the channel will have a big future!!!
@@nunomedeiros706 thanks for the kind words and well wishes 🙏 it genuinely means the world to me

Congratulations, buddy. You just cracked the algorithm. Consider me subscribed. Looking forward to future analysiis
Should I play the game before watching the video?
you don't have to if you don't want to, but there are a few spoilers for its story in this video 🙏
