  • This is my understanding of the current state of the art for rogue poisons. It focuses on the use of poison rather than crafting poison. It doesn't cover lower level poisons such as would be used on TLP servers, except incidentally. But there is a list of sources at the end of the video which will provide a starting point for researching lower level poisons.

Thanks so much. I really appreciate your work here. This is a great starter to point me in the right direction so I can get off my lazy butt and do my own research 😃.
My rogue is now 110, I am grinding out AAs in Howling Stones before the run to 115.
Do you have any suggestions for the best levelling path? I am thinking of levelling to 115 in RoS before working starting on tbl/tov stuff.
Would doing EoK progression be a good idea for the green mob blocker to aid farming draconic poison mats in Gorowyn?
    So many questions... Cheers

It depends on your guild and how easy you find TOV groups. I kept my necro at 110 until I had the key AAs done. I like 110, because you can group anywhere from EOK to TOV. Until you push past 110, EOK and ROS zones are great exp. But they start drying up around 112. If you AA in FM and OT, get out as quick as you can once you start leveling. I love my indoor zones (Droga, HS, Gorwyn, and now TOFS), because the exp. is far better if you have a half-way decent group. Progression is always good. You don't need the blocker to farm in Gorowyn, but it helps of course. At 115, you really won't need it. My feeling is anytime you can get a group willing to do progression, take it. You'll get AA and it'll be more fun than grinding. Plus, you'll become a better player. But if you can't get a progression group, then go for the interesting grind group, and only do places like FM and OT if you have to. Then finally find places you can solo, you may have to go back three expansions initially. I can solo in some current content on my group geared rogue (FV) and I do it faster on my raid geared rogue (Test). Questions are great =) Not sure I answered all of them, but I took a shot.

Check out Safehouse, this link is through POP and contains poison info: thesafehouse.org/forums/forum/everquest-wing/laboratory/8264-the-unofficial-poison-faq.

It can be tough to get the specific answers. I had someone ask me the other day, what is an easy to make poison to use at level 67 and I honestly didn't have a clue. The EverQuest Safehouse (the Labratory) section is a great resource for info up to level 100 and it has a lot of information useful to the TLP server set. thesafehouse.org/forums/forum/everquest-wing/laboratory. Kiki's poison info is from the early 2000s, but very topical for TLP servers, kikyara.tripod.com/poisons/poisontab.html. And finally, this video has some good information relevant to poisons in the TLP game: th-cam.com/video/HegxBDIezRo/w-d-xo.html, Wish I knew more.

I think bite of the shissar is higher dps than spider's bite isn't it?

I'm sympathetic. I did a search and all the rogue videos seem very much in the starting out as a rogue vein. I wish I could help, but the only time I play on a TLP server is to mess about with a friend who defected to TLPs years ago and I haven't been able to convince him to come back.
