@@atlashaugen4219 Yep. Deafs cannot hear and thus do not know what they are saying, so they just press a button and a voice of the word comes out clearly. They won't hear the word, but they could just get taught to only press it once. Another way of AAC is paper, pencil, and show. So that second method I just mentioned is a TRUE doomer for SL. Not only THAT, but most people cannot understand sign language. So writing words down and showing them to people will let most understand.

@@MrPillowStudios AAC is for people who cant speak, not people who can't hear. And seeing as AAC has existed for at least a couple decades and the amount of ppl who know a sign language has GONE UP, I can assure you that disabled ppl trying to get accommadated does not negatively affect other disabled ppl :)

@@atlashaugen4219 SL can be used for non speakers too. But paper and pencil is understandable by most people.

@@MrPillowStudiosplus tell me how I can teach my 3 year old daughter with autism how to write what she want. We use pictures, but she still can't write or draw, so please don't ignore some people. Paper and pencil are good but they don't solve everything. Some people really need this help and we should respect any help they get, which help them live better.
