Confession of sins is not a righteous deed that can save us. Confession and repentance are the expressions of true faith in Christ. You repent for your sin because you hurt your God by your sin. When you do something wrong against your Dad you feel sorry and go to your Dad and confess it. That's your proper response and duty. That's not your deed of merit. Likewise, putting faith in Christ, confession of sins or repentance are not deeds of merit. For instance, on your birthday someone gifts you something very valuable. You accept it with a sense of gratitude. But it's not your merit. It's your proper response. In fact, it's the merit of the one who gives the gift out of love. Likewise, the merit of our salvation is of God, not ours. This is what the Apostle Paul meant when he wrote to Ephesians (2:8-9) : "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God - not because of works, lest any man should boast."

Salvation came by grace... exactly.. that means NB buy salvation or righteous deeds.. its only FREE by GRACE, most of the ppl accept Lord Jesus, 98% ppl confessing sins on n off till end, no word of victorious Life, moreover known JESUS is quiet differ from accepting Jesus know Anna ?? at the beginning Israelites did not accept Jesus, so those words belongs to Israelites not for nowadays so called Christians..ppl, bcz most of the ppl accept Lord Jesus bt not able to obey nor follow.. nowadays confessing ppl r 90%, only 10%ppl against to it Anna.
