@realyfunnyboy107 It's just edited in the latest iMovie. For any conversions I used HandBrake (for Mac) along with JES to import the shots filmed at 60 FPS.
@Shibsterr I used just a collapsable monopod for the angles / shots. Tends to be a bit more forgiving than a wrist / helmet mount. You can search Amazon for them...they are pretty cheap (less than $20 bucks).
That's smooth, nice work on edition, sometimes the files are so hugh it's a real pain...! Anyway, nice work, kewl sessions, makes want to ride... (so few snow in Switzerland this year.. :P)
@MrUnamed Park City is dope. I go out a few times a year from California. Snow in unreal and Park City and The Canyons (neighboring resort) are top notch. They have everything: parks, hikes, groomers, and powder. The Go Pro is unreal. Opt for the Go Pro HD ($299 version) and grab an extra battery pack ($20). The HD is the only one that records at 60 FPS if you want super smooth slow motion. Only things it's lacking is a LCD viewer but they are making an attachment; and grab a monopod.
@dcollado87 Everything was shot at 60 FPS - that's how you get the non-blurred slow motion. iMovie default converts everything to 30 FPS. Even if you shot at 60 FPS and import the original file (not using JES) the slow motion won't be what you want. Search this on Google 'imovie 60 fps jes interfacer' and read the top link. As for the cuts, you're taking one clip and playing it forwards in slow motion, then reversing that same clip to play it back, then forward again. Shoot me a message need.
@dcollado87 On the 'project' tab click on 'Custom'. The only two things you need to change are 'Movie Speed' - set to .5000 and then make sure 'Telecine' is selected just underneath. As long as you're filming the original clip in 60 frames-per-second you'll be good to go importing this file into iMovie for some smooth slow motion.
@jpawn67 The GoPro is awesome. Definitely get the HD version. I'd also recommended the add-on LCD - not totally necessary pretty helpful to have for playback (it's tough to use for filming in the sun). I've recommended the GoPro to a ton of buddies - they all agree that it's sweet.
@YeheonShin Yes, Anon Helix (I'm the guy). Awesome goggles, super comfortable, and affordable. Never fog. That is the mirror lens (they come with an orange lens as well but never use it) but these are 2010's not 2011's. It looks like they discontinued the lens this season. I did a search and you can find this pair on Eternal Snow for $52 bucks (white / silver (mirror) lens) right now...get to it.
@droconnell hey man, im going to park city this winter to snowboard and it looks great. i usually go to n. carolina but thats not as hardcore. what do i need for park city?
at 0:42-0:43 the guy all the way to the right, is that a Anon Helix goggle? And if it is what lense is that, silver amber or silver solex? Cause I want to get one with a mirror like that
how are u able to slow the clip and play back to normal speed with no lines or brakes looks smooth. i have imovie and jes deinterlacer, what am i doing wrong????
I made a small clip worked out well thanks. One last thing when u first convert your video from the cam to Jes D, u do standard conversion with what setting NTSC or 1280x720 60p?
Cool man thanx for the info. So I should convert it using Jes before I import to iMovie? And from 0:52 to 0:57 where it was Normal then slow then normal again is that 3 clips together? Or is that done like u said taking one clip and playing it forwards in slow motion, then reversing that same clip to play it back, then forward again. Great video by the way!
Need some help!? Are any of you familiar with Ride Fleetwood Snowboards? I have been looking at one at a store and it has a kind of Mexican bandit on it and I want it really bad but I am not sure if its good or not because I cant find any information about the board. Any help would be awesome!
@ilulzach Filters won't necessarily help. Really comes down to the camera and doing color correction. If you want the colors to "pop" a bit more then definitely do color correction (just about every video editing program has this feature - even iMovie).
Quikpod QPAK-COMPOD Compod Slim Extendable Handheld Tripod. You can find it on Amazon for $18. Mine just broke last weekend, got a solid 1.5 years out of it.
@dcollado87 Honestly, if you're shooting everything 60 FPS I would just convert it all before importing it. Just remember everything will be at half speed when you initially put it in iMovie cause it's going from 30 frames per second to 60 frames per second. As for the clip, yep you got it. You want three instances of the same clip lined up right after one another (no transitions). First one plays forward (slow mo if you want). Second plays in reverse. Third plays forward again.
@benched4lyfe Just grab the file from your camera and upload it to TH-cam. Some phones though allow you do directly upload to TH-cam if they have that integration, but no camcorders do that.
@lalolalopop You on a Mac or PC? Nothing free is good. Sounds like you're not on a Mac, otherwise iMovie would work. If you're on a PC I'd suggest Adobe Premiere.
Watched summer 2011, its 2020 and it's still my fav snowboarding video.
That looks awesome. Great job on the making the vid and thanks for the editing tips!
@littlman284 Thanks. Adobe Premiere and iMovie. JES Interlacer was used to get the slow motion right for TH-cam.
loving the song man!

This is dope! I've been to Park City a couple times. Pretty awesome stuff there. You went like everywhere I went too. haha:)
That's smooth, nice work on edition, sometimes the files are so hugh it's a real pain...! Anyway, nice work, kewl sessions, makes want to ride... (so few snow in Switzerland this year.. :P)
@lalolalopop It's a mix of Adobe Premiere and iMovie (for easy color correction).
@iPodkilledMP3 Most the footage is actually at Park City ... I manage to squeeze in some footage off 9990 at Canyons though.

@nba185 Nope. It's a retractable pole. Probably had no idea that it was secretly a 4-foot weapon. You'll be fine.
