    Excellent practical advice. The nicest places to go are that way precisely because they aren't there to cater to yachts.

    Loved your idea to drill though the width of the boards!!! What is the very best size of FB you'd recommend for a 45ft yacht?

    thanks for this one. I am in need of a solution to just this problem. I have all the salvage materials to make these, and will craft a couple for Piper soon.

      I finished two boards, and added a mortice between the holes in the bottom to allow the line to lie flush. I have pix but can't post them here.
