    Thanks, you inspired me to take the Mirage VR180 to Gatow air force museum last week; will share on my channel when I get to editing it.

    I was watching it on the Oculus Go. I love the improvement in camera quality over the last 2 years (for that price). I am excited to see what we will get next 10 years. It is like go back in time to revisited a place. Really cool. Keep up the good work.

      Glad you like it. I wish the quality was better but for the price it's as good as it gets so far. I would pay double for better quality... Next camera up is more like 5 times the price. 😕

    The quality is superb. One the best VR 180 videos I've seen so far. Please do more. My Oculus Go and myself would greatly appreciate it.

    I wish we could comment on videos while using the Oculus Go TH-cam VR app... 😬😬😬
    Anyways, cool stuff. 👍🏼

      Thanks and yeah, the app is missing a lot and I'm not sure we'll see many updates.

    Really nice video and highly enjoyable. I have a mate who used to be in the Army Air Corps that's just gonna love this on the Oculus Go. I love these mini VR experiences so hats off for doing them, huge thanks.

    Thank You, Ramarcus, for posting simple, useful 3D content on youtube for us to experience on the Oculus Go. It looks great on the iPad Pro too! We’d enjoy hearing you narrate some of the exhibits if/when convenient. I’ll be sure to visit the Jet Age Museum next time we’re in the UK. If they’ll let you, consider shooting some Vuze 3D at the Cosford RAF museum. Also, checkout the youtube video “behind the scenes ACI cockpit 360” shot at the US Airforce Museum in Dayton Ohio. Cockpit 360 is a cool App. Finally, the 360 tour of the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation (MVTF) in California is also cool in the Oculus Go. It’s the largest private collection of military tanks. Can’t wait for spatial content capture for 6DoF at museums like these. Nice educational content to promote personal visits to these historic places.

      Thanks Jeff. The low light on the camera I use is terrible (as you can see in those two cockpit shots) so I didn't take anymore, I left those in as an example of what the camera can do. I'll be sure to check out those videos and I do want to "host" some VR180 videos in the future so stay tuned. 😉👍

      RaMarcus This is the quality I has expected after viewing the original Google VR180 intro commercials last year. The Vuze blows away the other VR180 cameras.

    • @RaMarcus
      @RaMarcus  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The camera still needs some updates, the VR180 is great but the 360 quality is low and the stitch line is always visible. I'll keep a hold of my other cameras for 360.

    Loved it! If you ever make it over to the states you should go to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson Air Force base in Dayton, Ohio....it will blow your mind to see such a huge collection of planes!

    • @RaMarcus

      Thanks and I hope I do some day. This was just a little local charity museum, I'll try and go to some more impressive ones over here at some point as well. 😉👍

      Now that I know you read your comments let me just say as a new Go owner I have really enjoyed your videos. I am fighting the temptation to customize my Go like you did because I know I am going to snatch up a Quest on day one!

    • @RaMarcus
      @RaMarcus  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I read and reply to every comment I can. And I'm going to keep my Go for sure, it'll be more mobile for when I travel for work, plus my kids can use it rather than mess up my Quest. But I will continue to cover both headsets on this channel so it has a long life ahead of it for now. 😉

    • @MasterHavik
      @MasterHavik 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s great! I am a teacher and the Go has been a big hit with my students....I will probably leave it in my classroom once I have a Quest.

    Not viewed this on the Go yet but the quality on the Macbook looks very nice. What I have found with mine so far is that appears to be focussed close in and things further away are out of focus giving a poor definition appearance. The last update on the 7th improved things a little. It looks like you took these as photos and made a slide show out of them. But the 120 mbps suggests you might have done it in movie mode and used a tripod ?

    • @RaMarcus
      @RaMarcus  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I use video mode as although there is little movement, I like the feel and movement of the light to give it a more organic, alive feeling. 😉

      RaMarcus I just asked about the video over photo in my comment too! Should have read comments first! Me bad

    • @RaMarcus

      I can't wait to get exposure controls on Android! And it's the Bushman Monopod, little wobbly at full extension but it's a nicely built overall.

    • @RaMarcus
      @RaMarcus  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It comes with a weighted bottom already and I tend to stand on it as well depending on the location. It still wobbles a bit, yet to find the true perfect Monopod but this one is close, great for 360 as well.

    thank you - did you do any post-processing, or is that the Vuze footage from the box? How great would you rate the quality loss from TH-cam compression?

    • @RaMarcus
      @RaMarcus  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No processing, straight from the stitcher to premiere Pro and then to TH-cam. It's about 95% the quality it is before TH-cam chews it up. 😉

  • @ReLive_Photos
    @ReLive_Photos 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The pic at 5:44 is my favourite one! Great depth and scale!
    Also always fun finding you all on reflections!
    Do did you record in slowmo or is that done after?
    Did you just get a few seconds video for each pic or lots of editing?
    Why video and not photos? Wouldn’t image quality be higher in photos? Also does it have DN8 image stacking so you get more dynamic range and detail?
    Sooo many questions... sorry

    • @RaMarcus
      @RaMarcus  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No DNG or RAW and as it's video the subtle light movement is better than a still, there isn't much in the resolution difference as well. So it was lots of 15 second videos. Recorded in 5.7k 30fps but slowed it 50% and added optical flow frame blending in Premiere. 😉👍

    Is it possible to record occulus go gameplay as a 360 video instead of just in the point of view of the player?

    • @RaMarcus
      @RaMarcus  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not as far as I'm aware.

    • @avirads
      @avirads 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RaMarcus thanks.. Is it possible to record occulus go 360 video as a 360 video, if not the game or app
      .

    • @RaMarcus
      @RaMarcus  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You've lost me. How is this different to your first question? You can't capture 360 video from the Go, even if it's a video.

    • @avirads
      @avirads 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RaMarcus i read that video games..i.e apps render only what the user is viewing..so there is no 360 concept at all for games unless the viewer watches, where as the videos are prerendered , and hence it might be possible to record them, was my thought...thanks for supersonic replies.. :)

    • @avirads
      @avirads 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      my findings today: :looks like nvidia ansel is a way to do such stuff but the caveat is that the game should integrate it, so that content producers can create content.
