Sad to see the fire with Amtrak but glad that no one was injured but the rest of the trains were awesome as always thank you and I wish you a happy Thanksgiving Thursday take care.🦃🦃🦃🦃 🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲
You know this isn't the 1st time that an Amtrak Heritage Unit in this paint scheme waas involved in an incident. The last Unit, 156 was involved in an accident in New Orleans back in 2020. Y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving.
So this unit is gone, but hopefully they will maybe give this heritage unit a replacement for this paint scheme just like this unit was a replacement for another hailed unit that all that got scrapped a while ago number is 156 and then after 156 was gone they repainted Its scheme onto 161 to be 156 is replacement But sure hope they give 161 a replacement someday because of this file problem that happened recently when it was probably on the Limiteed trying to get through dc But hopefully they will give a replacement just like 164 is also a replacement as well from another engine that was Amtrak 184 Heritage unit but then that Heritage unit got sent for a repaint, but Amtrak didn’t have to IV scheme paint for it so they sadly turned that unit back into a regular Amtrak engine with the regular Amtrak scheme, but they were able to put its IV scheme on another unit that happened to be 164 now 164 is 184 as replacement for the IV scheme
Man, I've seen 161 before... down in folkston, and visited my neck of the woods. I feel bad. But it is in the end just a P42, many copies of it still kicking and nobody got hurt or worse. It will likely be replaced by another unit in the near future.
Crazy to see an x cnw unit still in cnw paint though patched to up still in service to this day wonder why they haven’t painted it to full up paint though guess it’s like the old sp patched units will be painted into up someday
Amtrak: Oh no our heritage unit!
Norfolk Southern: First time huh
CPKC 7011:
This is super underrated
AMTK 156...
Amtrak 66......
😅😅😅😅
At least nobody was killed in the fire, and I'm sure that Amtrak will just pull another unit and paint it into phase 1.
Yeah, thank goodness no one was harmed during that fire!
@@haaseshouseoscience6377phase 1 charger? For real though it’s good that no one was hurt
@@JustATeenageRailfanYeah Amtrak is still haunting them after they repainted 184
And Amtrak 156 is still paint in phase 1
@@railcamrailfanner 156 has been in the deadline at Beech Grove for several years now, word is its pretty much a husk at this point
🫡 Farewell AMTK 161! A great Heritage unit you were!
Yeah... it's so sad that AMTK 161 is gone

Another great "best of" vid Aaron....thanks!
Awesome compilation as always, Aaron. God bless, brother.
A trespasser was blowing a cigarette and he put it on a puddle of fuel when the cigarette was still lit a spark made that huge fire
I like the Ontario camera and it was good to see IHB at Blue Island.
Oh, I appreciate the details. I knew there was a fire but not the extent or other details.
From what I have heard the cause was from a person unknowingly dropping a lit cigarette into a small puddle of oil and that is what ignited the fire
As an Amtrak employee at ivy city once said “Oops”.

RIP AMTK 161.... you were the greatest Locomotive of all time
Not even close.
Another Amtrak repaint to that scheme would be nice. That scheme seems to be jinxed though.

But sure hope they give 161 a replacement someday because of this file problem that happened recently when it was probably on the Limiteed trying to get through dc
But hopefully they will give a replacement just like 164 is also a replacement as well from another engine that was Amtrak 184 Heritage unit but then that Heritage unit got sent for a repaint, but Amtrak didn’t have to IV scheme paint for it so they sadly turned that unit back into a regular Amtrak engine with the regular Amtrak scheme, but they were able to put its IV scheme on another unit that happened to be 164 now 164 is 184 as replacement for the IV scheme
GE; we bring good things to light, lol
yes they should make another one to replace the one that was damaged by the fire

is this a metaphor for amtrak long turn profitability!
Sad. I did see that engine in person on the Metra BNSF racetrack.
I figure they will
Never let 161 Cook again
I hope they rebuild the the Amtrak 161
I don't think it will be repaired, it looks damaged beyond repair
I saw that unit before probably never see it again
They don't call them "GE toasters" for nothing.
Hell the AEM7 looked like toasters straight up
I think Amtrak will repaint one of the other P42’s into the same scheme and renumber it to 161.
this is the second time a Phase 1 heritage unit has been damaged in an incident
They should Paint P42DC #1 into the Phase 1 50th paint, if its still alive
i honestly want to see what 161’s paint would look like on a charger
Maybe that's what happened...they tried to "charge" it up?!?
That's what I'm hoping too that's now these GEs are going on 30 years old.
I'm suspecting fuel/Oil leak judging by the amount of flames and the fact the ground was on fire.
We are not allowed to have phase I locomotives for some reason.
That sucks. Saw that engine in Ohio a year ago.
Sucks that both phase 1 engines failed
3:00 what a waste of an sd 40
fr
bro CSX just gave it 30 more years on the rails, would you rather have sd40 rebuilds or no sd40s left on the rails
bp211 has a point
With no geometry train power...no track geometry=no trains!?!....just sayin'....
How does this keep happening. And why does it feel like this always happens to Heritage units too 😭
Toast gets burnt real often too!! Thus....toasterz!!?!
Foamers fault
Unlucky paint scheme.
Is 210 okay??
Foamers better stop making funereal video about a heritage units or Tina d will be knocking on your door
I think that’s what foamers do
