Hello Stew! Just found your channel and love it, especially this one about my beautiful Bosnia. I live in Canada now and haven't been there in years. Thank you for bringing it closer to us!
And I also wanted to say traditional Bosnian baklava is with walnuts wrapped or layered in phyllo dough and covered with sugary and sticky syrup. These are Otttoman empire influenced pastries, just like a lot of savory dishes. I hope you have tried ćevapčići and burek in Sarajevo! They are the best there.
Enjoy your time there! Looking forward to more of your videos.

Mate, that was the grave of the first president of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegovic. I suggest you read his biography. Take care and enjoy the stay in BiH

Baklava is a Wallnut based sweet delight that is stacked or rolled in thin layers of dough with each layer having a different texture and roughness of walnut. It is then kept with a fresh paste of agda that is basically sugared syrup which softens the dough and wallnut and provides the delicious taste.

      Visit "Svrzinu Kuća" in Sarajevo.
It is a traditional Muslim house during the Ottoman Empire.

First president of the Presidency.. thats not the same.. I am from the Bosnia but 90% of the people have a problem to understand.. by the law we don't have president, instead of that we have "presidency" as institution.. each,so called "president" is just 33,3% of the president...I said "so called" because,by the law they are members not presidents.

    Bro, these guys
are illegal immigrants in Bosnia. None of us know what they are doing in our country. We have the sympathies towards true immigrants coming from the war thorn countries but not towards others that just go wherever they feel like to without respecting internetinal rules of crossing the borders between countries. There's plenty of domestic people that speak English and they'd be happy to show you around. Just a suggestion buddy. Hope you won't take my comment wrong way. Still love your attitude, ideas and mostly will to learn about the world on your own. Cheers and good luck.
