Knew Joey a long time ago when we lived on Meadowbrook Dr. It's such a great joy to watch you play with Bobby Hicks. May and you family be Blessed all the days of Your lives. Joe Carterl
I love this video: I'm guessing Joey's guitar is an unplugged electric and he's playing a bit harder than if it were plugged into an amp: because of that, his articulation is easier to hear, especially the little "Eldon runs" - and I think Bobby is playing with a slightly shorter bow (less aggressive) to balance the mix a bit.
@Anthony Robledo - hey, reach out to Joey again, I think your messages must have fallen thru the cracks! There is a recent video with Redd at Joey's facebook page, just scroll down a bit and you'll see it there.🙂 Sherry
Forever the best of the best.
He will always be alive. His talent is something precious God sent to us.

Hi Joe, thanks for the nice comment, I will tell Joey. Bobby Hicks is doing great, we spoke to him on Christmas Eve.
That nod from Mr Hicks around 2:01 says it all. Better then a Grammy. Good to see Joey get the acclaim he has long deserved.
I got here from the Price Sisters. This is the magic and the beauty of TH-cam.
:-)
Beautiful!
This is one of those magical music moments! So great! I aspire to play like this!
This is awesome by two of the finest. Wonderful video.
Thanks Danny, so glad their first time to play together was captured on video.
Oh you boys are so smooth and so good.
A masterpiece !! any chance you have the recording of Gardenia ??
I do have that recording, I have a thumb drive of a dozen or so tunes. I'll have to dig it out and post something - thanks for asking! Sherry
Top draw gents👌
I love Joey's playing, but I wish he'd used a different guitar here...
@Anthony Robledo I just think the sound is thin, & I wish he had a fuller sound. I'd probably hand him a dreadnought instead.
