      It could’ve done with thicker gravy but I’m off the gravy powder 😔😱👍

    That’s a fantastic little pressure cooker. Your quite the chef Steve, the end result looked lovely. I wouldn’t mind investing in one these cookers. Great video xx ooh liked your hair Steve x love to you both x

      The Mr D slow cooker (The Modern Haybox) works really well but is quite expensive at £135. The good thing about it for us is that it uses very little power.
      The haircut is a simple clipper job :)
      Thanks Julie :)

      I love cooking but it does not always turn out like the recipe on the TV Masterchef suggests it will. This one is a simple veg chop up and a bit of boiling. What could go wrong LOL

    Could you not brown the meat in a bit of oil first to get a nice colour then add the veg then the stock?

    • @TheHappyTravellers
      @TheHappyTravellers  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Being a little bit lazy, i missed out the "browning" the meat first :) - Could be done that way and may even taste better especially if I use some spices and herbs :)

    Hi Steve
    Looks like an interesting bit of kit. We like cooking but we don’t have a slow cooker.
    Today I did chicken with some pesto on top wrapped in that very thin ham who’s name I can’t pronounce. 30 minutes in the oven then I served it with a fancy salad, making my mouth water!
    Hope the weather where you are is better than it is here.
    Paul

      Pretty simple really just chop up veg, boil the beef and add the veg. Wait 6 hours (thats the hard bit) and Voile! Dinner is served!! LOL

    Looks good!! Are you allowed cornflour, or maybe xanthum gum to use as a thickener? Kallo do a yeast free stock cube too x

    • @TheHappyTravellers
      @TheHappyTravellers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Advice is to avoid wheat too. A yeast free stock cube is a good idea though 😀👍😎

    • @dianepithers4859
      @dianepithers4859 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Happy Travellers Cornflour would be ok as it’s just made from ground corn, and that’s it.

    • @mariannechadwick2380
      @mariannechadwick2380 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you add thickener at the end before serving it would be ok. It 'cooks' because of the hot runny liquid so thick liquid wouldn't work

    You can get gluten free gravy cubes....is that the same?

    • @TheHappyTravellers
      @TheHappyTravellers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it's more about yeast and that soft of stuff... Gluten seems not to be a problem

      Add our own after the cook. I know it's not the same but we try not to add salt to cooking these days :)
