Watching this just reconfirms what an incredibly talented family they are. Amazing that they could learn to skate like that in such a short period of time. I recall that they were even offered a contract with the Ice Follies, that they turned down. Awesome singers, drop dead good looks, and impressive skaters as well - is there nothing these guys couldn't do? No wonder we fans love them!!
To me, the Osmond Brothers were never better than when they were on the Andy Williams Shows, particularly the Christmas shows. Although Mr. Williams produced a DVD in 2001 containing some of these performances, another DVD set should be made featuring ALL of them. The younger generation NEEDS to see a time when TALENT equaled entertainment - not vulgarity.
I watched a documentary on the Osmonds and one of the brothers commented that after doing this number they actually got together and burned their ice skates! I guess they had to work very hard to do this wonderful performance and were "burned out" on skating. This video clip sure shows how talented they were though!
I'm amazed how many people, out there, have these old clips! Some I don't even remember, because at the time, I was Donny's age! They really were/are an incredible family. I met all of them, except Jimmy, years ago. They were very polite, easy to talk to and gorgeous. Thanks for posting this one. It was fun to watch!
I agree with you. I am form Colombia, but this show was aired there too! I was between 12-14 when I watched this Donny and Marie Osmond. I missed so much! I am 41 now, and I still love it tho!
The scene of the ice skating of and a special program of Christmas in the Andy Williams's show is memories of TV thought to be parents who not are now. (from Japan)
Thank you, thank you so much for posting this. I'm guessing this is from the Andy Williams show. Since that was before my time, I love any clips that I can find from that time in the Osmonds career.
To those who made comments about the boys having only a week to learn the routine and burning their skates after....that was a much earlier skating episode...the guys were wearing all white with a snowflake on their shirts.....it was part of the Andy Williams show...if you can find that clip, I'd love to see it again.
Yes, I saw an Osmonds Brothers Documentary and one of the brothers shared that fact. It made me so sad to hear that they burned their skates since I know how much skates cost. I was also sad to hear that doing this made them dislike ice skating.
On the Biography he also said that they didn't know how to skate! They learned all this in a week... so just to imagine how much they had to practice in that week... and probably the endless hours of practicing - I can understand burning the skates! =p Fantastic clip, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing!!!
FANTASTIC, OSMONDS CAN DO ANYTHING AND THEY ARE AMAZING! donny looks sooooooo dang cute here!
What a great video! I wish we had good variety shows today. Thanks for sharing.
someone said they saw an interview where they were talking about this and that they only had one week to learn this routine from scratch.
Great fun to watch! There was an interview with Donny, who confirmed that they only had a week to learn how to skate.
Have never seen this clip before!!! Amazing!!

They hated ice skating? And yet, years later, when Donny & Marie got their own variety show, they had an ice rink and skaters on the set!
Thank you for the video and for all the comments
Awesome, thanks for sharing that!
Great ice skating.
Yes, Donny Osmond is the youngest Osmond in this skating scene.

How wonder full...
Wow!
Belle famille c est formidable ...Bravo
I think this program was a "boys only" routine, but I also recall that Marie was just learning how to skate at the time.
what's amazing is, they had to learn to ice skate to do this show!
I think it was 1967.
Ice-Follies skating on TV in the '70s was a big part of why I wanted to be a skater when I grew up. Check out my videos sometime! ;)
Geez, is there anything the Osmonds COULDN'T do???
