Im pretty sure the reason the captions won't match is because there following how the japanese sub would go and not just going word for word with the english dub
I saw bits of these episodes because my sister started watching it. I ended up watching everything they had on Netflix lol. I also find the captions funny they may have done it on purpose.
maybe it could be that its the same for the og voiceover. Sometimes they change words slightly to make more sense in english. Especially with comedies. I saw clips on anime tiktok so I picked it up XD
13:32-14:20 I like the Funimation English Dub better, especially with this joke. The Netflix eng dub translates the real joke, but it doesn't work, so the original Funimation Dub changed it to the American equivalent by having blowfish broccoli head guy say he was hair brained enough to go along with the ruse and Nendo thought he was talking about a disease called "Hair Brains".
This was a lot better than I was expecting. And a bit of a nice twist to have a functioning super power character who is good enough for the most part and trying to have a non-complicated life. And be careful of the guy with no thoughts. He is one who may be able to use ultra instinct.
Just wanted to say that you're likely not getting a percentage of the story or dialogue from the Dub. It seems they kinda took away some of the dialogue for the Dub.
The best way for an English speaker to enjoy this show. Imo, comedies in general are better in your native language since the jokes can hit harder if you understand the words as opposed to reading them. Saiki k is just a cut above other dubs as well, same goes for kaguya-sama.

Definitely funny. If I watch along this would be my 3rd watch, subbed and dubbed. And yes pretty girls talking to guys are illusions.
