In all my past lives I played an asshole
Now I found you, it's almost too late
    And this earth seems obliviating
We are trembling in our crutches
High and dead our skin is glass
I'm so empty here without you
    I crack my xerox hands
I know it's the last day on earth
We'll be together while the planet dies
I know it's the last day on earth
    We'll never say goodbye
The dogs slaughter each other softly
    Love burns it's casualties

Marilyn manson à une voie incroyable. Parfois en live quand il fait l idiot ou qu il est défoncé c est mauvais mais c est une excellent chanteur dans tout les cas

    • @calebfuller4713
      @calebfuller4713 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@thatyoudliketoknow1628 The studio vocals are very heavily layered and almost certainly recorded at a much lower volume than you'd expect. So he's done singy vocals, shouty vocals, whispery vocals and gutteral vocals, recorded at low levels to capture the subtlety of each one, then layered together at different points in the track, which gives an awesome dynamic effect.
It's a hard sound to replicate live though, and I suspect the volume and energy of the live show just has him doing the shouty screamy type vocal at a point that's way to loud for him to have any decent pitch control.

Underrated album by many of the Anitchrist Superstar and earlier fans, and actually understandable though. This is album is completely left field in comparison of the previous works. This was more or less a glam album instead of the previous dirty and grim style, that would fit right into a horror movie. But in the end, Mechanical Animals album has some of the best songwriting to this day.

I had my father visit me in a dream about a year after he died, was waiting for me with a smile and a cup of coffee by the table in the veranda where he liked to sit with me in the morning. I asked him if everything was allright, and he said "yeah". I told him i asked him that "because dad, you're dead you know?" He said "I know" and I hugged him and we started chatting. I woke up in tears, of joy and relief because I finally could say Goodbye to him. I'm writing this with tears building up in my eyes right now. They're never really gone and they watch over us...

I have always been obsessed with the idea of dying to a meteor and then, when this song came out I fell in love as it seemed to be about exactly what I dreamed about nightly. I used to sit in fields and dream of what it would be like to see the wide open sky filled with rock hurtling towards us. This song became my anthem of sorts for a few years in the 90s as I went through the worst period of depression in my life.
Now, in 2015, I still suffer from depression but it's nothing like it was when I was younger. I'm numb to the pain now that I'm an old ass man. I have an engineering job, a mortgage, a life, and though I still dream of dying in a blaze as the Earth cracks into pieces, I get through life day by day.
Tonight though, I watched Melancholia for the first time, and all I could think of was this song. Watching the planet growing in the sky, all I could think about were the feeling this song gave me decades ago. They finally made a movie depicting how I've always felt since I was young.
The feeling may be buried, but it isn't dead.
I long for the planet's death.

fiddleleaf I feel the same exact way in all you said the 90 were by far so very lonely and yet the decades seem to repeat the same ole song of blues there4 I'm so ready to see this place burn .
