This is such an iconic Vaughn Williams piece and played so beautifully. The strings are spot on and well balanced creating that wonderful pastoral sound Vaughn Williams is known for. I can not help but think the composer Richard Rodney Bennett had this music in mind when he wrote the score for John Schlesinger's "Far From The Madding Crowd". That movie encouraged me to explore English music.
Really awesome performance!! I love your phrasing and color changes in the first movement, soft you land on the low c's and d's in the second movement, and your excellent hand-off's with the orchestra in the final movement. This was wonderful!
The comfort of Vaughan Williams` music is irreplaceable , The wonderfulness of his performance and this orchestra is an order of magnitude more awesome From Tokyo with cherry blossoms falling

Great performance. Many years ago the amateur orchestra I played in did this - and the soloist was Leon Goosens! Amazing!
