Here in the USA, you're not going to hear about stories like this in school. The history taught in American schools is very US centric. If we weren't involved , it usually gets ignored.
So ,thanks to Sabaton, we can get stories like this better known, along with great music.

Probably that is the reason why most of people there think they got the best country, they never heard about any other.

Apologies but your country seriously needs to rethink their education, its pathetic and incredibly arrogant to only learn about yourselves

One of my favorite stories I learned about from Sabaton (as well as an amazing song). Sabaton really knows how to go straight to the feels...the German soldiers named them Night Witches because the wind noise created as they glided onto the target remined them of broom sticks. They would fly multiple sorties per night, and some pilots accumulated over 800 missions by the end of the war. They did not carry parachutes or machine guns due to the weight limits of the aircraft. Amazingly, only 28 aircraft were lost during the war. Great reaction, stay safe, God bless, and keep rocking.

Even if their bombs were tiny and didn't do _that_ much damage, compared to the more modern bombers of that time - the psychological warfare against the German soldiers below can't be overstated. Imagine being one of those Germans. You're freezing cold, there's barely any rations because the supply lines into Russia have been stretched to breaking point. You're already exhausted from the freezing temperatures, the miles of marching you've just done, and perhaps the odd contact with the enemies. You just want sleep. And then suddenly your camp starts to just explode around you. Valuable tents and beds (which means you now have to sleep on the rock solid, frozen ground) you can't replace are burning to the ground, precious stores of fuel going up, vehicles damaged with little chance of spares arriving. And this keeps happening multiple times during the night. And you know you're not going to get much sleep - if any at all - and yet have to once again march and fight early in the morning, just a few hours away. Now repeat this over and over, night after night. And somehow _your_ fighters are having a _really_ hard time putting a stop to it and shooting down these mysterious night attackers. It must have been _so_ demoralising! And then, to find out it was _women_ torturing you like that?! So now your German "superior" ego has taken an enormous blow too. Honestly, these women are amazing in every way in their bravery and determination to do _their_ part in taking the fight to the Germans, and I think they did even more damage than they are given credit for. Psychological warfare and demoralisation of your enemy is a huge tactic in war and they used it to extreme effect. Bravo ladies!!

Absolutely incredible women, with steely determination that would be almost unheard of today. Huge admiration for these defenders of their country, especially considering the lack of support from their own soldiers. As always, dive on your reactions :) Weather here in NZ is changeable and stormy, as only Spring can be! :) Stay safe and keep well :) Sending much love and best wishes from here to there :)

Thank you for the correction. Here in the states, they don't teach us much about other country's world events in grade school unfortunately. I'm glad that Sabaton tells about the stories of these battles and heroic deeds in their songs. It's sparked a bit of a new-found love for history lessons.
