You saved my little boy from having an upset Dad! He'd pushed in the tweeter dome on my Q Acoustic 3090 centre speaker. I just went straight to the mouth suction and it came straight out. Thank you so much.
From SC, thank you for the idea of sucking the dome out. Masking tape, toilet paper roll and straw did not work but getting intimate did! The things we do for our sound system!
With no plastic straws to hand (they appear to be phasing them out) I went straight in with the intimate kiss approach...it worked a treat😆 This is why we need You Tube. Many thanks...

Not a flat surface, no vacuum. Took a deep breath, and more or less drilled a very thin pin through, then turned it onto a good angle with the dome cover and pulled it out. Saved my AR66BX, which got a bit too much attention of our youngest...

The worst part is that you walk into an electronics shop and see new speakers that have been vandalised like that - in some case intentionally, so that the culprit can buy them at a knock-down price.
People do weird things. Some over-eat until they weigh 500 pounds. Others have a compulsion to push in dome tweeters. And ebay sellers say "don't worry, it doesn't affect the sound". I put my speaker grills on whenever company comes over.
If I had not seen that, I would not have believed it. One learns a new thing every day! Most people are unaware of the fact that damaged drivers are repairable (in nearly all cases except catastrophic fire/crushing). So an old tweeter that has a dent like here or an open coil simply gets tossed when it is still repairable (at a price commensurate with the quality of the service rendered and materials used of course).
I was the chief tweeter sucker when I worked in a hifi shop. It was nearly always the Royd speakers that were attacked. Perhaps the Mission rep heard that I always tried to sell Royd over Mission and was engaged in a little sabotage!
Suction by your mouth works sometimes, just make sure the speaker is cleaned. You dont want to breath in any dust. I'd rather simply put a sticky dot of Glue Dots on the tip of my finger, gently press it on the SIDE of the hole and quickly yank/pull it out. It works easily every time for us. We have a electronic and speaker repair shop for a number of years here in Miami.
My speaker domes used to get squashed when I had kids. Now I have grandchildren they get pushed in again ! 🙄 I used a vacuum cleaner to sort mine out both 2 decades ago, and last year 😂
ive used a sliver of scotch or masking tape and just pull it straight back quickly...works better and way easier than this straw methode...start with a 5-10mm wide piece of tape gently stick it on using a qtip to push on it a bit to get it to grip...then just pull with one swift move/....voila just like new!
Maybe You can go underneath? And simply use your little finger. You must dissamble the tweeter first. And go over the surface gently using your fingernails to clean any dent. Then it look brand new.

I’ve done that one myself before and also used a bit of masking tape also when the sucking didn’t work.
i have used a vacuum cleaner with a sock over it to cut down on the vacuum start with a heavy sock and work your way thinner.
If you have any dents left over go over with a hair dryer you can get fairly hot

use a contactlens remover/suction tool from the optician. Wet it a little. Works fabulously.
I tried it with the t27 tweeters but at the end the vacuumcleaner could do the job very well
