You can blame him for the Following: Providence Place Mall, WaterFire, Federal building downtown, the train station, the restoration of downtown providence, the dunkin donuts center and the Providence Bruins, It was Buddy Cianci who brought those great things to a city that was falling apart. He might be an asshole, but I would definitely vote for him, and I am from NH, Moved to Providence 4 yrs ago and I was surprised but how much was different than I had imagined living in NH. I am happy I moved here. Buddy for Mayor 2014!

It isn't hard to spend tax payer money. Something is very wrong with Buddy Cianci. His trouble started back in the early 60's when he was accused of raping a woman at gunpoint. She dropped the charges (what a surprise) and he gave her $3000. Hey, it was 1964. He proceed to run in to the law again in 1986, when, as Mayor and someone whose marriage was all but crumbled, he arranged to meet a man named Raymond DeLeo. Buddy MISTAKENLY assumed he was schtupping his wife, and he held him prisoner in his house on Power Street, ranting, raving, hitting him, threatening to put a bullet in his head. To be fair, he was probably tweaking on coke at the time. He may a plea deal for the assault and related charges that eventually found their way to him, but he was given a suspended 5 year sentence. No sooner was that mess over, than the Public Works department ran afoul of investigators who found evidence of deals with organized crime, padding bills, favoritism, all of which I'm sure Buddy just thinks is part of doing business as the mayor of Providence.
He's wrong. He is a sick, sick, man. I don't think the nickel he did at Fort Dix did a damn thing in terms of this piece of human garbage growing a heart. He brags he read 500 books in prison. We're supposed to be impressed that the rapist kidnapper reads books? I'm not. I hope he just lives his life away wondering why he was born without morals. I hope he finds God. I hope finds something besides power again. It has proven over time to be the undoing of his very soul.

I live in Florida now, after 60 years living in RI. I loved to eat on Federal Hill, and loved the "sauce" my Italian friends made at home. I have tried over the years never getting THAT TASTE. My girlfriend in RI just sent me two jars of Buddy's Marinara Sauce. IT IS DELICIOUS, now I need to know how to get it to FLORIDA without costing $17.00 to ship two jars. PLEASE HELP Jackie Anderson

You mean being found guilty of being complicit in pay for play government in a federal court... that little thing pfft
And it seems he's back pulling the wool over people's eye's; he justwas allowed to be moderator on A Lively Experiment.
Will we never learn? Will charisma always over shadow past behavior and the behavior of those around him?
