@@DanielInskeep if you do options i recommend a cash account unlimited day trades and your funds settle the next trading day for options so no needing to wait two days to use funds unlike trading shares i also recomend webull very nice and clean to use for scalping options and good chart

Man I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your total profits from trading with a small account. I started to dream with 20 k profit I would not have to work for a year go on a travel and have my freedom. I will definitely learn as much as possible from you and keep my inspiration.

On that note Matt isn’t even profitable lol. He’s blown up 8 evaluation accounts over the last year and his risk to reward is dreadful, doesn’t even use a stop lol.

Yup. It's just trading supply/demand zones w/ the help of visual indicators.
This is standard material. Be careful my friend stay outside of trading. It takes years to get profitable

@@JamesB9782 then so be it. Everything takes years to become a pro at. If all traditional jobs need multiple years of exp, then trading should have the same requirement automatically attached to it
Used to watch Matt everyday when I traded - one thing that always impressed me was his patience to sit in a trade. I remember there was one day he sat in a long and was -$2000 in draw down; he was patient and waited for it to play out and ended up going green on the trade. I dont remember how long it took, but long enough for me to have had multiple heart attacks if it were me in the trade.
I saw that trade. It was a disaster. I followed him after watching this above video for quite some time but he majorly made losses. If you observe his trades, he mostly tries to take reversal trades which are hard to catch in the first place and he doesn't use a strict SL. The trade that you are referring to, he was averaging down while in a loss but he was lucky that the price turned around. Won't happen everytime though. I wouldn't get impressed by it, it can wreck your account in just a day.
Matt has gambling tendency. Thetes a difference in being smart patient and dumb patient. His sole reason to not pull out from that big negative was all emotions and hope. No market logic whatsoever
@Earth Euphoria at one point he was down 7 or 8k in that trade. He averaged down and was in for 4 minis at that point.
Why did you stop trading?
@@SgtJuls bunch of reasons, but mainly that I didn’t have time to watch charts all day and do well in my day job.
I would have loved a summary table comparing both your numbers: total daily trades, volume per trade, percentage lost to fees... And then some commentary about how your trading behavior negatively impacted your results.
Actually yeah second that please do that! plus indicators, strategy, risk management ect
You seemed so demoralized in the end but it was still dope to see how humble you are and the fact that you were willing to show the humility to the world. So many channels that only show the wins. So much respect.

Matt is an absolute beast. Like how he keeps it fairly simple. Understanding how to read volume is huge.
I’d love to see a professional trading challenge with all the trading gurus on social media to see who is legit and who isn’t.

Yeah the raw truth is most "real" day traders aren't desperately trying to make it as content creators.

This entire video was crazy awesome. I like the advice Matt shared about how just gotta get the screen time in and subconsciously see patterns and trends. Stuff like that can't be learnt overnight or over a short period of time and does come with experience. Thank you for doing this challenge both of you :)
Great content. It helps people to understand the obscurity of 'who tf is winning in here'. I think when you on drive, showing mistakes and tips about your trades will be great content in the next one.

How long did it take for you to learn !?
@@RunnersUniteCoaching havent really stopped. I joined TopStep and learned that way after blowing 2k of my own money in 4 accounts. Prop firms give you rules to follow and you trade with real delay when you place orders so it feel like the real market. I strongly advise doing that. Im with someone else now but still learning. Im profitable but my strategy has changed and evolved. Just trust the journey and find a strategy that fits your character and long term goals. Good luck 👍

I enjoyed watching this since I watch both of y’all’s channels! Futures trading has been a bumpy journey for me, yet i believe it is possible to do it full-time if you MASTER the risk management aspect of trading futures… that’s the key!

You said it, bud. You took as many trades on day 2 as Matt took in 2 days. It was amazing to see how diligent, and conservative Matt was in the beginning, but he immediately started to leverage his small gains and applied his capital where it would yield the best result. The setups he takes have a good risk/reward associated with them, but more importantly are just high probability setups. When Matt 'overtrades' after loosing 'big', he still picks only these high probability setups, and in fact becomes more selective where others are more emotional. Again, thanks so much for this video!

This is my first time watching anything about day trading. Always been interested but not confident enough to actually do it. Love the video! Pushes me a little closer to trying!
Its like playing poker. When you're in the zone and rocking it keep raising the stakes to get to higher games and level up but the moment you're on tilt and you're going bust walk away and preserve your bank roll to play another day. Never bring all of your money to the table. Only play with what can be lost comfortably.

Love this video! Well done. Well produced! It’s crazy how much more you traded then him. Paired with how patient he is. The fact that he said he overtraded one day was less then your best day is interesting to me. Did you find your thesis was accurate but you flip flopped too often? Other than saying you overtraded, what did you learn to help that? Have a better entrance and exit thesis? Trust the volume and volume by price nodes better?

Super cool to see you working with Matt! I have been watching you and your wife's videos at Mango Street for several years before I even became apart of the Trades By Matt community. I've been following and watching Matt for almost a year now so this is a really awesome collaboration to watch.
This is a great video! Thoroughly enjoyed it because for the longest time I always wondered how traders make money everyday. He somehow sees patterns that I am not yet familiar with.

You traded till the end and even made a profit on your last day. I would have been tempted to overleverage if it had been me. Regarding future trading challenges... maybe something that is peaking your interest! Can you trade art on masterworks secondary market for a week? (and could be a plug for another sponsor vid too!)
Love these series! Looking forward to seeing more about trading. I’ve been trading for a year and still not profitable overall. But I’m learning everyday and I’m sure there will a huge light at the end of the tunnel! I took a mentorship with one guy and in two sessions I’m already stepping up my game and i just realized the practice itself is a slow learning path. You need to stick with someone who knows what he is doing like this guy that you did challenge with. Pay him or another guy you trust for 1 on 1 mentorship and it will be a game changer. Good luck! Please continue doing these series. One day we will see a green results!

Been watching TBM since 2020 and inspired me to start trading futures as well.
Definitely can relate to Daniel's being chopped up..
I still have that myself sometimes and sometimes due to choppy markets,
ignoring major levels in both directions, but also due to my own errors and
trading too large for the account size..
(notice how Matt often enough has 1k+ drawdown
on trades that still look good but it started chopping first,
so you need to know what your favorite and high probability
setups are and allow for a small enough position to sit through possible drawdown.
Or take several stabs at a setup, each with a smaller SL).
Dude is a beast… Holly crap i wish i had his skill.

WOW!! That is soo awesome - thank you for setting this up, Daniel! This is the first time I've actually seen a pro trader in action on the fly - what a confidence booster! So many have said that daytrading is a net loss given enough time and Matt has very neatly proven them wrong! Daniel - have you asked to sit in on sessions with Matt to see how he does it? That may be the single biggest factor missing from your success.

Just curious but why would you trade futures when they seem so similar to options but options fees are way lower which makes it seem like making profit would be easier especially with over trading fees out of the equation, right?
I really enjoyed this, but Matt literally made my annual salary in 7 days!! I need to learn how to trade futures.

Daniel, after watching this video about 4 months ago I went and followed Matt’s stream each day. Over that time his P/L is definitely negative. Nothing remotely close to how your vid portrayed his performance. And yes I know he was really pushing size in the vid, but regardless there’s no edge in his trading and his RR is upside down. I also see you in his chat, so what do you think? Are you there lurking just to audit and figure out what his deal is? My take: might be a classic case of a bull market genius, so someone who made money in 2020 but hit a wall when things normalized and couldn’t adapt. Also he seems more interested in being a TH-camr and having laughs with a community than being profitable. I mean that’s the elephant in the room. He can’t always claim that he miraculously made money “off stream.” Just kinda disappointed that this whole thing is kinda BS.
Because at the end of the day Daniel is just a content creator, the whole point of this video is just to push out more content. Kudos to you for actually verifying Matt’s legitimacy, instead of just blindly believing everything they see in this video like most people that watched this video. Matt is indeed a losing trader, but don’t you dare pointing this out in his channel cause he will delete your comments and block you.
When will I learn... I didn't originally click on the video because it wasn't a topic I was particularly drawn to. However, I forgot to factor in the fact that you are a great creator and regardless of the topic I will learn something and be entertained. Thanks!
