Hi Ed, I'm studying New Zealand white sharks using photo-identification. I have noted five different sharks in this video - they are in order of appearance STWI0912 Marbledtail, STWI1206 Nick, STWI1302 Houdini/Arthur, STWI1413 'big male' and a 'new male' (i.e. one I haven't seen before) right at the end. Do you recall the date you took the video on?
Hey Bud. Apologies for the delayed response. From memory i think it was February 2014. if you'd like any other information email me at edstott@hotmail.com I'd also be very interested to hear more about the study.
Hi Clinton, just wanted you to know I recently did a shark dive (1 March 2018) near Stewart Island and uploaded a video of it, if you are interested in seeing it to identify more sharks -> th-cam.com/video/r4f9IZzjVYs/w-d-xo.html I'm interested to see how many different individuals you can see, would you mind letting me know after you watched it which ones you saw? Thanks in advance!
what a fantastic video. that girls look was priceless lol. Ed, how long did you go on your trip for? I am from Hereford in the UK and am thinking about going cage diving. give us a heads up please boss.
Hi I do filming with Shark Experience. You will have a go for around 20 to 30 minutes, once everyone has had a go you can generally get a few hours or until you are too cold to dive. Checkout my other shark videos...
Late to the party here, but teasing isn't really the right word? The shark is used to hunting seals. You think the seals just lie there or play hard to get too?? They also jump all over the place, just like they were doing with the bait.
2:35 they saw an 18 foot great white called fred
We did this out of Gaansbai South Africa. Our water wasn’t near as clear 🤙
Amazing video.
I'll be going in December and I can't wait- this looks amazing
Summer O Same here, possibly. Just planning it now but I'm visiting friends at the top of the south island so it's gonna be a proper mission.
I would love to do this!
Am I the only one who thinks that great whites are among the most beautiful creatures on earth?
I’m in NZ the way back home I see a shark of the eg of the breg I was soo much fun
eg of the breg?
Nice to know these great creatures are in our waters. However, I would still shit my pants if I saw one while swimming up here in whakatane!
A great white if it really wants to can smash through any cage we put in the water.

Hey Ed....what was the cost to dive with this company per person?
Holy Crap! I think I counted 4 at one point... How long do you get to stay in the cage?
How much is this to do?
My wife and I are highly interested in doing this...how long are you able to stay underwater??
most people are in the cage from 20 to 25 mins and have 2 to 3 goes.
