I was 18 when I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior...and Steve Green's songs challenged and touched my soul then and even to this day. When I come to a point in my life that I was so busy with all the things the world require of me..his songs have a way of popping up in my head; its like it's God's way of reminding me where my priorities should be. Thank you very much Steve Green.
This wonderful song takes me back to 1991, as I remember Steve Green's singing so well.He has an anointing from God that really touches people's lives and speaks of The Lord's word to us all!! Bless you Steve Green, and excellent voice!
A powerful song that God uses to inspire and awakens many Christians throughout the world, inspiring them to be Faithful in the Lord's service. Thanks Steve. God Bless!
Truly, this song makes us realize that we should be role models and inspiration for Christians coming after us. God is faithful, and we should be the light that will lead them in the grace of our Lord Jesus. Fins us faithful..........such an anointed song. Praise God!
This song was sung at my baptism. Today I work at my college in the tech support department, and I get to help put on one of his concerts (lights/sound) in about a week. I'm SO excited to meet him!
I got to see Steve Green in 2004 and what he had said had stayed with me from that night at that concert. to all of my loved ones that have gone on before me I love you and I will see you again and I miss you.
I am the next generation Steve, and I've been encouraged by your songs. I too hope that all who come behind me, find me faithful, and they are inspired for Christ. Thanks Steve! PS - I'm going into full time missions work in Indonesia soon.
its not how he originally sang it but it still has its impact/effect. may all who come behind us find us faithful...may the footprints that we leave lead them to believe. may the Lord help us all...it surely aint easy....
I heard this at my Great Aunt's funeral thismorning, and I loved it, I want to hear Frodo sing it...it remind me when Frodo went over the sea to Valinor...it made me cry all over again!
2019 and i am still loving this song. It brings tears to my eyes. May all who come behind us find us faithful Edit: 2021, i'm still here 😭😭😭 this song keeps making a mess of me. These are the kinda songs i wanna write and sing. Songs that pass through time with meanings that cannot be denied.
Thanks for this youtube version of Steve Green's song. The original Steve Green rendition is far more perfect. But this one, being a live evangelizing performance is far more real and has more heart... singing with with his soul... the physical voice is not important.
Not sure I understand what u meant. No when I first heard You Raise Me Up and You are loved by JG I was hooked, and this guy just reminded me of him, and I love this song.
My dad is Bob House. I would like to know if he was a co-writer of this song. Please contact me through fb or yt. My name is Lea House Keele. Thank you!! :-)

I gotta say to those making comparisons between Josh Groban and Steve Green and referring to Steve Green as "this guy". Steve Green is the male version of Sandy Patti. He was huge in the 80's and early 90's and still performs alot today. Josh Groban is a studio singer at best and I'm sorry to say is just another manufactured voice. Just my opinion...
i am, but I love Josh Groban's voice as well, I thought Josh was a Gospel singer to begin w/...don't worry, I believe in God whole heartedly, I meant no offense.
I really really like this song, but I'm not as crazy about his voice, more like the way he sings it. Like he's cool, but I don't like the way he does the timing and stuff on this one, eh. I've heard it sung better by a friend of mine.
this is a great song and every christian should apply this to our lives.

I really hope our children will find us faithful. We need to change our lives today to leave a better tomorrow those who come behind us.

@HATEFULLrrk Poor kid. It's such a shame you'd say that. Eternity is a long, long time to burn.
i am, but I love Josh Groban's voice as well, I thought Josh was a Gospel singer to begin w/...don't worry, I believe in God whole heartedly, I meant no offense.

Aagh, forgot to write...Josh Groban would make this song even more amazing!
