Sucks and plants always seem to do it at the end of the year around holidays. I worked at Union Carbide, Chisholm Ryder, Nitec, Goodyear tire & and Rubber, retiring at GM as an electrician. Those good paying factory jobs just aren't around anymore. I was lucky back when a plant closed you could walk across the street and get another. Not today. Wish everyone luck.
@The716_ Small companies close just as much, but you don't hear about that like with big companies. And don't pay like large companies. Today, it's hard to be trained by a company for skilled trades, let alone by a large company. They would rather steal trades people from companies that don't offer pay and benefits like they do.

Factories suck. Those factory peeps should learn and work a skilled trade for a small or medium sized company instead.
