I've been on the original Whip in Blackpool (built in 1915), and I first rode the Skid in, if I remember right, 1970. This ride looks like a worthy - and much faster - successor. Thanks, Stevie, for bringing it to my attention. I've heard that in the Netherlands there are both original (you have to press a pedal to swing it) and automatic versions of the ride. Which is this?
Sorry for the very late reply. This is a modern conversion of the Dutch Swing Mill Ride (similar to a Skid in the UK). You control the car's swing by using a hand lever switching left and right
