I love Eick's Compositional "Narrative" approach to form, and structure - more like folk, and classical music than jazz... with a nod to "Post-Rock". Very refreshing. ECM took a gamble on this, (as Manfred did with Steve Tibbitts, and David Torn) ~ it certainly paid-off!
