Ngl NU dorms, from the very few videos and pics that I've seen, don't seem to be the best... it wouldn't really affect my decision to apply (and hopefully go) here, but it'd be cool to just get another perspective on the dorms. Just simple things like what the rooms generally look like, what's on each floor (communal kitchens, etc.), and how updated & well-kept everything is. Kinda goes hand-in-hand with how I've heard that the gyms/athletic facilities (including fields/stadiums) are subpar compared to other schools in the same range as NU.

Like there aren't any that truly challenge your way of living. That being said, there are some that are MUCH nice than others. Also, idk how many gyms NU has, but there's a really nice gym called SPAC up north. I've been to another one that's not as nice but still more than enough for general needs. Guess it just depends on what you're used to and what you require.
For sure. I'm not high maintenance at all, but some people describe the NU faculties as good - but just not as good as you would probably expect them to be. Maybe I'm mixing it up with another school idk. Thanks though. Have fun at NU.

That music building is so beautiful. I used to take violin classes there and still walk by there a lot. Great video! Also I go to ETHS and they take a lot of people from there so hopefully I get in when I go to college.

NU would be such an experience! I wish people were able to like “reapply” senior year bc that’s where I did & organized most of the things I cared about in HS/clubs student orgs&gov
Omds I just went to a talk last night and this was by far my favourite university, but I’m from England and I’m in year 11, I’m really interested in going to NU after sixth form :)
all of the above and more! in my experience so far, friend groups tend to come from student groupings of happenstance. classes, clubs, dorms, things you can't really change who else is in it. most friends I've made are situational; I only see them in a specific setting (rehearsal, class). the best friends you make will be the ones you hang out with outside of the time that you usually see them.
I got a 30 on the act, have an aunt who went to northwestern and have an average unweighted of around 3.82 with a 2 AP'S and a few honor classes and many regular classes in High school. I do really well academically and am involved in a half dozen or so extracurriculars. I also visited northwestern. I am applying RD. Do you I'm unlikely to get accepted or? Thanks!

My sister is in tenth grade and her English teacher said that it is good to use semicolons in your college essay because they will be proud because they are hard to use correctly.
