I was there at the shooting site and Eduardo Ohara, the filmmaker, suddenly shouts: Oh MY GOD! And we all thought: What went wrong? Then he says: Gorgeous!
We only found out what that meant in the editing room. It was 6 am and the sun was rising fast. Seconds before or later, that ending would not exist.
Samuel Huh I really thought the sun had screwed it. Haha
Yeh and it was a beautiful ending. Loved that so much.

This guy plays like a boss!!! When I first heard it, at Daniel's house, with the mission of making the album art, I saw the weight of responsibility right on the first song. How to make something up to such technical perfection and talent-sized creativity? With the mission of "evangelising" Fingerstyling in Brazil and worldwide, refining our ears accustomed to the mainstream and no-brainer music of today, it feels like stimulating parts of my brain, until then neutralised by so much creative recycling. I'd found spiritual, emotional and intellectual breathe in the songs of Daniel Padim. I'm kinda flooded with fingerstyle guitarists that I struggle to appreciate anybody new I come across, but this was awesome - loved the placement of artificial harmonics, the funkyness... well done

I've been combing through candyrat's artists for well over 10 years and Daniel sits on definitely among the top three artists there (and considering the contesters that's pretty damn good). Great technique but before all very deep musicality, the essence of a great artist.

Sometimes you crave for something authentic, that shows instinct on a primal level, that flows. Other times you want to hear something thoughtful, planned, almost mathematic on its core. This will do it for me, in both situations.
