Orianthi Panagaris (Australia)...never heard of her either, however, nor did I follow Al Cooper. Released under an Italian label, she's one naughty rocker! (th-cam.com/video/9nhNjXsDun0/w-d-xo.html) Interestingly she shows the J-200 in the above rock vid. Assumption can be made from this Music Villa demo and that Orianthi vid that Panagaris is fond of acoustics, especially the J-200, maybe even more so than those flying V axes? Great sounding guitar (the J-200!), sans the Orianthi "devil-red!"
Hi Joe - my recollection was that this was a stout guitar - not "banjo heavy", but definitely not as light as other J-200s I've held. That said, it definitely wasn't uncomfortable. Thanks for watching!
@@quintonking9960 Thanks for taking the time to reply. I love your presentations. I do own a J200 from the late 2000's when the australian dollar was doing well. I love it, but it is a little heavy, and I needed to do some saddle work to better intonate the lower E string. The one you played looks and sounds stunning. I now mostly play a road series 00015 at church. Thanks again.
My 6 Martins, both my Guilds and my Gretsch “Falcon” acoustic all cost roughly $5000 ($4000-$6000). I’d take one of these in a heart beat! - I’m a jumbo type guy! My Rancher is a maple jumbo, and I have a Guild jumbo in rosewood - F-55? I forget the model designation right now, but……I’d love a Gibson J-180, 185, or 200 to complete my collection of classic jumbos. Peace
Ha! Holy poop! Just wrote you an essay! lol. I’m sitting on my porch in the British Columbia mountains, with my 000-28, watching guitar vids on TH-cam, and drinking Guinness! Too much Guinness ! Sorry.
Why the heck is this guy reviewing a guitar posing as someone who is a guitar enthusiast and not know who Orianthi is?!?!? I wonder if this guy has ever heard of Carlos Santana either. She's pretty much the best female guitarist alive in terms of skill. Does this guy go only by hit albums sold? Does he even pay attention to the music scene at all as far as who's talented, who's good, who's the best everyone should know of even if they don't have tons of hits? Because she's definitely in that category. Playing with Michael jackson, Carrie underwood, Alice cooper, ZZ top, the list goes on and on and on and there are plenty of videos out there of her shredding. Do a deep dive on TH-cam and spend a few hours soaking up some musical talent and maybe then he will finally know who Orianthi is. Check out the music video her and Steve Vai did for the song highly strung. If he doesn't know who that is I bet he doesn't know who Taj Farrant is either.
It's interesting how different the different examples of the J-200 sound. This one sounds great.
Sweet. I love red guitars, already picked up a trans red SJ-200 back in 2016.
Love this Guitar!
orianthi is not just a shredder she can play about anything amazing talent

Hey guys, thanks for saying. give it a strum! Sounds really good.
Nice sounding guitar and demo. Thanks Quinton and Paul. Bit too flashy for me, but the voice is there.

Right on, brother!.... 😉
I use a bose L1 to get around the feedback
