Another delightful installation walk through! Here in the U.S. (maybe there as well) they are starting to place solar arrays in farm fields with higher headroom. That allows growing food crops underneath in the partial shade, thus saving water use in addition to generating power. Also sheep love the shade in hot weather!
This is a very nice video, thanks. The bird guard 3:43 was something that rarely gets mentioned. We are currently inviting quotes for Solar panel and battery home installation and comparing Tesla, SolarEdge and GivEnergy batteries. Although, as others have said, Tesla doesn't offer a European sized battery appropriate for most homes. GivEnergy currently seems to be the best. I observe that the Tesla app is not as clear as the GivEnergy app, which I saw demonstrated on another TH-cam channel. I'm assuming that Tesla's Storm watch 10:24 is only available in the USA?
'When I'm out at work..................nowadays that's for many that's still AT HOME. Bird guards, wish my installer mentioned that at the time, damn pigeons in the morning.
Hello. Great videos!!! At 4:25 in the video, I didn't get what was said about who to contact for approval for inverters over 3.6kW. Please could you provide more information Thanks!
That set up would cost a bloody fortune. Had a quote on my home which is a small 3 bedroom detached. Cost with a battery to meet my needs was £13500. Tempted but my concern is finding a reliable installer and that any system would likely generate very little power in winter when I need it most.
thanks for the video ,as much as i would love a couple of the Teslas on the wall the ££ dont stretch that far,but tbh your video has pointed me in the right direction for a givenergy battery and a smart ac coupled thingy ma jig, as i am already on a fit tariff which is quite high, i know i am exporting more than i am being paid for, so the givenergy seems the perfect choice,my next choice is how big a battery i opt for :) :)
@@c4rltsyt yes we have also been waiting stock since early November, should have stock again at the end of the month, but already sold out on pre-orders
TESLA POWER WALLS are way overpriced and actually oversized for most Europeans. If TESLA made a MINI POWER WALL for Europe their sales would double and they would only need about 20% more cells to cover the demand.
Will these work even if you're born in crossfire hurricane? I'm not one to throw Stones at solar panel videos, but there seems to be a recurring theme in the music.
Hi I’m afraid we don’t install in that area. If your looking for a Givenergy system, look at their website there’s a list of local installers on the site. Also make sure you check out any companies installations and talk with their existing customers. 👍
@@Simpleboneguy I`m afraid we don't have any connections in your area, may be contact Tesla for a local installer, they should be a good company, as Tesla are very strict with registered installers.
@@ecobubl ok thank you so If I have give energy installed I have to stick with give energy batteries, not a problem, do you know if I'd still be able to fit a Eddi / zappi in future on givenergy?
You don't mention the downside of each battery, what happens when demand is higher than 5kw for Tesla battery? You will be pulling the extra from the grid right? Givenergy limited to 3kw even worse.
You are correct, so it’s important to check your maximum kw peak load and size the system to suit your demand, or be aware not to overload your system by running everything at once.
Most people do not need more than 3kW at a time. People are confused by their appliances for example one of our TVs (49inch) is rated at 107watts and it is used with a 150 watts sound base. When I plug the two into a portable solar battery from Bluetti the combined usage power is always 88watts for both the TV and sound system. Batteries are designed to handle peak spikes what matters is the level they run at during the usage not peak for a second or two.
Is it only me or did you call the Henley-block a hairy block? And please get your units right, the capacity of a battery is expressed in kWh. Still great content.
As a solar installer since 2005, I find it wonderful to see EcoBubl market rooftop solar. However, it is a genuine shame that you promote Chinese brands with terrible reputations (Growatt as an example). Not to mention the questionable ethics involved with Chinese owned brands. With quality panels from reputed companies like Hyundai, Sharp, Solarwatt, REC, ALEO etc. available at similar prices, I can't see any justification to sell a Chinese branded panel. I'd also pick a SolarEdge or Enphase inverter any day of the week. Same with a battery from SolarEdge, LG or GivEnergy. And before anyone thinks it, "Made in China" is not the same as "Owned by China" I would suggest you take another look at this as the true cost will come later down the road with product failures and customer frustration, with the brand nowhere to be seen.
A good presentation but significantly spoilt by speaking far too fast. Suggest you slow your delivery by about 1/3 to 1/2 You sound as though you are reading one of those ‘Terms and conditions apply’ radio ‘jabbercasts’ which aims to reduce on air time to an absolute minimum.

We don’t do that with crops, however yes the sheep live shading underneath the panels.
The framing needs to be very strong to cope with sheep, they like to rub on things & they're surprisingly strong.

Thos ground screws are very impressive. Certainly beats lugging 5 ton of aggregate across a field by hand (still have nightmares to this day)
also less planning permission needed as they're not 'permanent'

Great stuff, I’m nearly convinced a part from I’m being pushed into a smart meter..any ideas if I don’t want one?..
You only need a smart meter if your on a smart tariff like Octopus GO

The problem with electric battery storage is the energy density. I's like having a small bomb in your house.
