i believe samouth recorded this song twice. not sure when the original came out but samouth's 2nd recording (the one that circulates on TH-cam) was from the early 70's. in fact he re-recorded at least 4 other old hits he sang in the 50's and 60's around this same time. these are Chao Dork, Samoth Ream, Sleuk Chheu, Khnom chang teh che dol prohm likhet..

HockeyDad81 Hey brother, Mr. Mol Kamach's style of singing is so gentle, only a Khmer can do this. This is a great version of the great master Sinn Sisamouth's song. Beautiful.
i wish Lauk Mol Kamach write down his autobiography, about his life and work and songs he and his brothers wrote in the 60's. it would be invaluable to have a khmer musicology so younger people can share the knowledge.

Mol Kamach is one of my favorite singers of all the time, but sadly he has only few songs. Hope to hear more songs from him.

Samut’s version is original. Mol Kamach just started singing at Lun Nol generation.
