  • Apologies for the bad audio in this video if you are wearing headphones you might notice you may only be able to hear the narration out of one ear during certain parts of the video.
    This is a early 300 subscriber Special.
    This video is about the old Indiana Harbor tracks that used to be located in Franklin Park Illinois before they were ripped up and relocated due to a new underpass being built at Grand Avenue. Come join and watch the video as the history of this railroad track is explained.
    This video was originally supposed to come out back in September of 2020 but delays and me deciding to change the way I made the video caused it to take longer than expected.

      @@RailBrothersProductions I've seen pretty much every section of rail that's still there, it's cool to see it all laid out. We also have abandoned rails down the road on Manheim and Armitage that still has an active crossing on it.

    There actually is an old video of a Wisconsin Central SD45 leading a train on the connection! Keep in mind that if I do put the link in the comment section that it isn’t my video and that it also takes place after the CN merger and when the SD45s were being retired.
    EDIT: nvm that link is already in the description :P

      @@ernestpassaro9663 actually that's not true because yes trucks can go more places than trains but trains have the ability to carry over a hundred containers on one trip versus a truck can only carry one maybe two containers per trip which wastes a lot more fuel which is why trains are more fuel efficient at their jobs then trucks.

    • @RailBrothersProductions
      @RailBrothersProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well they figured it would be easier to merge the two lines together to make an underpass at Grand Avenue so they ripped up the Indiana Harbor tracks and relocated them where the Canadian national was.
