What is so remarkable about this performance, for me, is seeing how effortless it was for a twelve year old, Angelina to sing this iconic song, live and in front of hundreds of people. It is also remarkable seeing how comfortable and confident Angelina is performing live in front of hundreds and thousands of people. Her uncanny wisdom, maturity level and professionalism are far beyond or above her chronological age. Angelina is absolutely the most unique and versatile young musical talent I have ever seen.
Our Angel Angelina Jordan is a gift to this world. I have to tell you something about this video, watch the the man directing the band there is a point where she sings “Maaaannnn” and he looks over his shoulder in amazement and disbelief at her range in her voice...so cool.There is also another video where she sings this with her Guitarist, and it is Amazing, this is Amazing. Great reaction, thank you for appreciating her as so many many many of us do.

I love the "go down the rabbit hole" comment, and I have used it myself several times when speaking of Angelina. Because what universe are we in where such a small child can do what we are watching her do. I cried as how does a 12 year old even have these thoughts and the ability to write, arrange, score and sing this song. When you listen get a copy of the words and read them. Mr. Bill, I am 76, and I pray for Angie, and her family to stay safe during the virus, and now riots in Los Angeles. every night, just after I put away my headphones from listening to Angie Hour.. She is my hero for choosing to sing covers from my era (Elvis, Bobby Vinton, Leslie Gore, Dean Martin,etc. I also pray that I live long enough to see her dream fulfilled, that she become a famous world wide super star when I saw her for the first time at age 8 singing at Norway's talent contest I told my wife to come see this little girl sing. I said she will be a super star by age 18.

Boris just doesn't do reaction videos, so many of the fans that follow her through youtube are not as aware of him. It should be pointed out that many of the videos you see (including this one) were shot and posted by Boris. But there are so many great fans of Angelina. I see many, many people in all these Angelina reaction videos. I'm not sure why I would stand out more than any of the others. Albert Tenfoot for example... He comments on every Angelina reaction, and he has also cataloged all 2400+ reactions to Angelina. I could name many others too that have been here for a long time, and are always in the comments on Angelina videos. It one of the best groups of fans anyone could want. Everyone is friendly and kind to each other, and to newcomers. I think it is a combination of the type of people she attracts, combined with the positivity she emits. You can't be in a bad mood after listening to Angelina sing ;)

When I see that Boris is there, I can just sit back and enjoy the moments and be sure that I can relive it in the months to come through his recordings. Unfortunately he was not allowed to use a video camera during this Akershus concert, otherwise the result would have been much better. But this clip is nonetheless legendary, as I knew it would become when I experienced it.

Kinda hard to believe this is the same kid who mesmerized us with "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", isn't it? No matter the style, no matter the genre, Angelina has the tools in her bag to deliver the perfect performance. And she does it live! Maybe it`s a mans world, but Angelina, as she starts singing, she has her world of her own. Yes, she owns it, for shure. Perhaps not that many tears in this one, but she totaly blows me away every time I listen to this. The versatility of Angelina is something that can't be explained, it just has to be experienced. I look forward to watching you experience all of her many flavors. This performance is like a master class in how to deliver a powerful vocal... but for me, the thing that stands out even more than her effortless power, is how she puts so many subtle details in there. When you listen to this again (and again) you are going to keep noticing new details. The choices she makes on how to deliver certain words... it is nothing less than genius. I often grumble to myself about the (let's be frank here) poor sound quality of many of these older Angelina Jordan recordings. But it occurs to me that, especially with this particular performance, that I might not survive a good recording. OTOH at least I'd die with a smile on my face.
I don't know if you read these comments or not, but I love your reactions to Angelina. She, of course, is amazing. She has a song called You Make Me Feel So Young. She looks and sounds like she is on stage singing with a 1940's big band. I have not seen any other person react to this song...I think it would be cool if you did. We both share the same passion for her, and I know you will do it justice.

Although I don't think this is the best sound quality, being outside under a huge pavilion, it is still a VERY good job by Angelina. I never get tired of seeing the conductor look over and shake his head after she hits that high note towards the end. At about the 4:15 mark. The way she flies through the notes is insane and this particular performance is the perfect example of the ability to go from the quite impossible low register to hit incredible high notes in a way that seems easy (but is not). I lives about 2 miles from Angelina's home here in Norway. And for a little time ago i happened to meet her at a bus-stop near me. She was with a friend. Welle, i couldn't belive it so i asked "Angelina?" She turned around an said yeees? But since i'm an old guy-fan i only said; ok just checking, and she smiled. We had a small talk and she was happy i didn't pick up the phone for filming. She's just a normal KID, belive me. She is very calm and mute when she talks. But she's sooo TALL! I'm 182 so she must be at least 186-8 or so. Welle, a funny experience and she told me things that i promised not to publish :-) But yes, her new album is a little late because of corona so she couldn't give a date.... :-D

Just when you figure well that's it then, this will be my style menu to order up from, then she does this.She has been reaching for those high notes for awhile, now she has got them!!! Did you notice the band leader look over and then shake his head in wonderment at 4:12, that was priceless. Lucky you getting a break from the crying, when I have to avoid watching this so I won't cry. Yes, I started blubbering about 10 notes in. I love your enthusiasm, that's why I watch your reactions. Maybe it`s a mans world, but Angelina, as she starts singing, she has her world of her own. Yes, she owns it, for shure. Perhaps not that many tears in this one, but she totaly blows me away every time I listen to this. Those super controlled runs in those high notes are just stunning me, almost drops my jaw every time. Thanks again Gitane, lots of fun and beauty still to come, allong the "Angelina Jordan raod". The versatility of Angelina is something that can't be explained, it just has to be experienced. I look forward to watching you experience all of her many flavors. This performance is like a master class in how to deliver a powerful vocal... but for me, the thing that stands out even more than her effortless power, is how she puts so many subtle details in there. When you listen to this again (and again) you are going to keep noticing new details. The choices she makes on how to deliver certain words... it is nothing less than genius.

I often grumble to myself about the (let's be frank here) poor sound quality of many of these older Angelina Jordan recordings. But it occurs to me that, especially with this particular performance, that I might not survive a good recording. OTOH at least I'd die with a smile on my face.

I don't know if you read these comments or not, but I love your reactions to Angelina. She, of course, is amazing. She has a song called You Make Me Feel So Young. She looks and sounds like she is on stage singing with a 1940's big band. I have not seen any other person react to this song...I think it would be cool if you did. We both share the same passion for her, and I know you will do it justice.

Although I don't think this is the best sound quality, being outside under a huge pavilion, it is still a VERY good job by Angelina. I never get tired of seeing the conductor look over and shake his head after she hits that high note towards the end. At about the 4:15 mark. The way she flies through the notes is insane and this particular performance is the perfect example of the ability to go from the quite impossible low register to hit incredible high notes in a way that seems easy (but is not). I lives about 2 miles from Angelina's home here in Norway. And for a little time ago i happened to meet her at a bus-stop near me. She was with a friend. Welle, i couldn't belive it so i asked "Angelina?" She turned around an said yeees? But since i'm an old guy-fan i only said; ok just checking, and she smiled. We had a small talk and she was happy i didn't pick up the phone for filming. She's just a normal KID, belive me. She is very calm and mute when she talks. But she's sooo TALL! I'm 182 so she must be at least 186-8 or so. Welle, a funny experience and she told me things that i promised not to publish :-) But yes, her new album is a little late because of corona so she couldn't give a date.... :-D
