That cape that is from sh figuarts had to have been one more option, it would be great to see a hybrid of these 2 figures because the SH F. has the most suitable pant for the figure sits better in the chair
Ninja wheels are concept from movie . But if you watch the museum scene when he and Vicki run out, he throws ..something .....at jokers men . Could be implied it was those.
@@dHuntersReviews For some reason, I thought he was just pulling back the zipline gun, but then there was a lot of smoke when the goons were running out.
The figure really doesn't look bad to me. I can see people's complaints but it bugs me that people get hyperbolic(not so much the review but the comments) with the criticisms. In some ways, the face sculpt reminds me of the Hot Toys Batman Returns. Not inaccurate, but smoother compared to the Hot Toys Batman 89.
I love the 89 Batman I was 8 years old and still love it im a huge Michael Keaton Batman fan always will I don't care if his face is off or short to me it still looks amazing and il be getting mine Monday In the mail Plus he's going to have a new cape and he'll be sitting next to my 89 Batman colletion ☺️
@@dHuntersReviews I would love to get Mezco but can't afford it to me the price is high $200-300 is out of my price range the only Mezco figure I got is the joker
When I saw Brad the DC geek review of this,I wasn't fond of it because of the flaw it had. Kinda wish Neca version still around. Always wanted a Keaton batman figure.
What are the chances McFarlane will do an 89 Batman? I imagine he'll definitely do the batsuit from the Flash, but it's quite different from what I've seen so far. I'd happily take one from McFarlane based on Kilmer's first, black suit. Say what you want about that movie, but Kilmer looked awesome in the first suit. Not that horrible one at the end of the movie though.
I pray that he'll do all the live action Batman figures, but who knows. Just like you said, I'm sure he'll do Keaton's updated suit, but I want the original.
@@dHuntersReviews Same here. Always loved the 89 batsuit. Most people seem to prefer the Batman Returns suit but I wasn't keen on the art deco armour look. I will admit the cowl was probably a bit better in Returns though. On a separate note, can you please tell me if the Gotham Knights Red Hood head will fit on the New 52 Red Hood body? If so, how do I go about that? When I pop the head off should the peg come with it? Sorry to sound so dumb, I've never modified any of my figures before and I haven't got a clue. Grateful for any advice you can offer.
The NECA version looks ridiculous to me, the head sculpt is nice but way out of proportion. The cowl is huge while the head looks tiny inside it. The SHF looks overall better except for the cape.
The main thing I didn't like about the NECA figure is being afraid of breaking it. And it did look kind of weird in the package with the arms and legs all twisted and contorted in weird ways.
@@dHuntersReviews And I now have the Figuarts figure and haven't had a single problem with the joints so far. And the whole bootleg claim is way overblown. Other than the shape of the faceplate/mouth area of the cowl, the likeness is fine, and I'd argue the body is better than the NECA figure, both in articulation and proportions.
Ok, cool, NOW people think NECA's figure looks phenomenal. It's always the same way. When a figure comes out, all you get are the critics and their "worst figure ever" takes and then years later, another figure of the same character comes out and suddenly the old figure is a masterwork of sculpting.
Lol!!😂 I have that Val kilmer batman. You're right I think the Neca one looks better. I like Neca, great figures accurate, cause I can't afford Hot Toys an Mafex figures.
Neca’s is far superior. And way cheaper at retail. I’m a Keaton / 89 mark so I’ll get this anyway. But the Mezco One 12 will def blow all of them out of the water I think. Hoping McFarlane finally goes into the back catalogue of DC films in his superior sculpting and durable 7 inch scale. My preferred size for figs btw as an adult. Only issue with NECA is durability of plastic. And the cape while better and more serviceable than this one, could be improved. Mezco will do that and be hand painted and have the bleeding battle damaged head sculpt as well. 3 figs in one. I think the digital printing paint has become an actual issue and lazy. NECA and Mezco with their sculpt and hand paint looks much better.
Is there anything on the horizon from McFarlane besides Dark Nights Metal? WB should have just given them the rights to that one story arc because that seems to be the only thing they want to make.
Oh and if you want a joker for a 1989 Batman I say use the dc multiverse toy biz joker not too mention i think there is a head sculpt online that is a jack Nicholson joker head
Batman 1989 is my favorite movie of all time and Keaton is my favorite Batman. I love the Neca 1989 Batman a lot, I have 3 of them.
Nice, I also love it. I have 3 if you count the black, gold, and purple variations.
If you love the movie I recommend this figure, he’s awesome in hand and the joints move sooo well compared to neca
He never used the ninja stars but they were made by the prop-master to be included in his arsenal along with a timed detonation device .
So never shown onscreen?

Man thanks for the review. And I particularly enjoyed the parts where you took time to pose batman in his laboratory. That was really cool.
